Was honestly very confused how this could have performed quite so terribly until I read there was also a section that would've taken away the people's right to approval of sales tax hikes and that makes a lot more sense.
No income tax "works" in Florida because of the massive tourism with Orlando, snowbirds, and the Keys. Take your kids to Disney! Go have spring break in Miami!

The Gateway Arch is pretty neat. I've been there once, the entire city smelled like literal shit.
It's also walking distance from the old court house where the Dredd Scott decision was made!

There is literally nothing here, our biggest city is omaha and that's shared custody.
Tldr it's income tax vs sales tax, and under the proposal they'd pay more with the expanded sales tax
