Classic scapegoating. Or "not made here" type of stuff.

Way before AI, when I worked in somewhat-sensitive industry, my bosses wanted even smallest changes to the codebase be ticketed, documented, and reviewed for being malicious, leaving a paper trail for regulators. But pulling in thousands of NPM packages? Abolutely fine.

Similar. But Top: my boss when I get a 3 star review from a tourist because there was heavy traffic (how is that my fault)

Bottom: my boss when he pays me too little because bullshit reasons and I have to contact the student employment office.

I got fired because i made one bugger mistake (just didnt do it Entity Framework but with SQL querys) but the senior devs best friend, litterly comitting the master password his password and user login infos into the master branch, gets to stay!

A place for all those who loathe AI to discuss things, post articles, and ridicule the AI hype. Proud supporter of working people. And proud booer of SXSW 2024.

AI, in this case, refers to LLMs, GPT technology, and anything listed as "AI" meant to increase market valuations.
