Holy fucking hell, that is every single cursed dark psychological pattern, all at once and as fast as possible!
It's one of those moments where you're left struggling to figure out who this is even for. Like, it's simply too much to even respond to for the most gullible user.
It's akin those scam calls where the person on the other end has to read you a ten minute long pitch before getting to the actual scam, but calls you back two minutes later fully knowing you're not their target.
You have to remember - if this didn't work they wouldn't do it.
Which means, it works.

No. It’s an empirical observation. If a shop near you is doing 80% off all the time and not looking under the weather after a while you start to think they’re doing something clever behind the scenes. No dogmatic belief needed.
They tested multiple variations to get people to spend more money, and the was the best result.

It's called A-B testing. All of the big shops do it to increase profits. You can automate it by giving the system a lot of possible variations, and then it will tell the shop owner which design generated the most orders, shopping cart value, items viewed, time on site and other metrics after a few hundred users had tried it.

Honestly that art is for sure AI slop. Who knows about the rest. You lock a dude in a room for 4 hours and make them play the instruction game with a not and they could cook all those sloppy effects. It doesnt even have to actually do anything but make them think they need to buy something right now.

I see things I've wanted to buy from temu ads. I click the ad to buy and instead of letting me buy it gives endless roulette wheels before demanding I install the app.
I don't even try to buy now.

Oh jesus christ, it's like they put together a team and told them "build a reward animation we can put during the startup", and then put together 20 more teams to do the same thing, and then put them all into the app.
It smells a bit like a situation where the dev builds themselves don't show the anti-patterns, but everybody else will.
Blue Archive starts up faster and nags you less than Temu. And that's an acutal gacha game.
