Even if these accusations are correct, neither instance is an example of a direct attack. Ukraine conducted a direct attack on an Iranian ship. For Zelensky's justification to make sense, Iran should then be allowed to attack Ukraine directly or Russia be allowed to attack the US directly.

Also Russia only deployed DPRK soldiers to the Kursk region of Russia. The DPRK soldiers were used to defend from Ukrainian attacks on Russian territory.

Ukraine continues applying long‑range sanctions in response to Russian strikes. Last night, the warriors of our Defense Forces hit targets across different regions of Russia that are fueling this war.

Once again, a plant in Kirov was struck – the one supplying components for the weapons Russia uses to attack our people. That’s about 1,200 kilometers from Ukraine’s border. Also hit were an oil refinery in Tyumen, a logistics facility in Yekaterinburg, and a fuel and lubricants depot in Rostov‑on‑Don. We also achieved very strong results with long‑range strikes in the Caspian Sea – including vessels used in military cargo shipments involving Iran, as well as a warship.

While the world’s attention is on the war in the Middle East, we can’t lose sight of Iran’s repression against its own people.

Today, the EU imposed new restrictive measures on Iranian judges responsible for serious human rights violations, including the persecution of political dissidents and religious minorities. We also sanctioned a leading figure of a cyber group who enabled the regime’s repression of information.

As Tehran intensifies its domestic crackdown, the EU will continue to hold those responsible to account.

How can a professed commitment to human rights be so easily reconciled with providing logistical and technical support for lethal aggressions against the Iranian people — aggressions that deliberately target civilians and critical national infrastructure? All while refusing to condemn even the most blatant war crimes, and offering not a single word of sympathy for Iranian children slaughtered by American-Israeli bombs and missiles enabled by the EU’s own “logistical and technical support.”
