We're going to see the full fascism mask come off starting September through January. Be aware that there will probably be violence too.

Islam was a target of convenience. His numbers are tanking at home over his handling of; well everything. So now he has an enemy of necessity. Everyone that wants to hold him accountable. This is going to get ugly folks. Arm yourselves and be ready. Be ungovernable. Because they plan to govern you out of existence.

This is frightening correct, if you ain’t got a piece get one, a shotgun is probably best for most.

The one thing that give me hope is how big and dispersed the US is overall. There’s no physical way for the government or really any entity to quell uprisings or enforce “right think” there just ain’t enough manpower even if you bring in all law enforcement down to the municipal level. My suspicion is they believe they can use “AI” and drone surveillance to fill that big gap.

It’s a gamble on their part which reeks of desperation, but it might work. It may come down to whether or not Palantir is actually competent and no one does anything direct to stop them in time(this does include a general strike not just a Luigi)

I think you’re right about this, and the extra $350 Billion they’re trying to get right now for the “pentagon to fight communism domestically” is actually for rapid R&D and deployment of additional spy apparatus.

Be aware it’s not just Palantir. There are like half a dozen new companies popping up each week as part of the military industrial complex that are chasing this money to further violate our rights and erode our societal foundations. Stay vigilant friend.

Who are you planning on shooting?

The police? Your neighbors? The Army?

It sounds like you learned your survival skills from a bad video game.

If it gets to the point where left wing people are genuinely being rounded up, and there are no other options left, then being armed at worst lets us make the round up more costly in a last stand, or hopefully if there has been enough community building beforehand, helps us more effectively prevent a round up from occurring..

It would also help for a French resistance or Irish Troubles style long-term push-back.

[-] GreenBeard@lemmy.ca 0 points 35 minutes ago

I don't know that they're going to worry about rounding people up. It's enough for most people to make them too scared to think. Drone strike a protest on American soil and that'll break the will of a lot of people. Of course, it will also embolden resistance, but then that's exactly what he wants. If he can get the most serious resistors to huddle up where he can take them out with tactical units and scare the rest into hiding, he wins.

[-] cmbabul@slrpnk.net 3 points 1 hour ago

If someone tries to arrest me or someone I care about and throw them in jail for a belief they hold or something they said then yes I will go down shooting whoever is trying to.

Sounds like you get yourself esteem from being condescending on the internet

Have a bad day!

This is a really unusual position to take.

As a husband and father the idea of committing suicide-by-ICE on ideological grounds is an absurd proposition.

Obviously there will always be more opportunities to secure better outcomes for the people I care about if I'm not dead.

[-] deadbeef79000@lemmy.nz 1 points 2 minutes ago* (last edited 2 minutes ago)

It's the American hero complex.

When the government sends the military to round up ~~die juden~~ the commies they dream of standing their ground with the gun they bought last week against a team of well equipped motivated professionals. Only to die heroically and have their family raped and killed in retribution anyway.

It'll happen the same way it did a hundred years ago.

[-] spaghettiwestern@sh.itjust.works 13 points 1 hour ago* (last edited 39 minutes ago)

Clearly another fascist plot to silence dissent. Sometimes the truth sounds like an outrageous conspiracy theory.

[-] peopleproblems@lemmy.world 1 points 19 minutes ago

That's not a major shift. That's just the primary goal of fascism.

[-] aarch0x40@piefed.social 14 points 1 hour ago

Policies of compassion are the biggest threat to republicans in this cycle. Can't have any of that now.

[-] dan1101@lemmy.world 7 points 1 hour ago

I can't help but think calling decent people that want a decent government terrorists will backfire spectacularly.

[-] TheDemonBuer@lemmy.world 9 points 1 hour ago* (last edited 1 hour ago)

A government of the morons, by the morons, for the morons.

[-] Bristlecone@lemmy.world 5 points 1 hour ago

What a surprise, they're moving into the final phase right before the midterms...
