five decade old

running from Iraq

So back when we were still allies and before we sanctioned a million of them to death, half of that number children?

Iraq should allow this pipeline to be built, paying nothing, and then sticking their end of the pipe into the sewage system.

And this will be built... soon?

The line needs extensive repairs, including new storage tanks, pumps and electrical systems. One senior regional official told MEE that the pipeline would likely need to be replaced wholesale, with a two- to three-year timeline.

lol okay 👍

two- to three-year timeline

So 5-10-ish years before they give up? (Assuming this even starts to get off the ground and isnt abandoned within a year)

they will finish it in 20 years, it will cost 10 x as much as estimated, and then a US proxy will bomb it

Corrupt politicians will let it drag on as long as they can fill their pockets.

  2. Content warnings: Posts on the newscomm and top-level replies on the newsmega should use content warnings appropriately. Please be thoughtful about wording and triggers when describing awful things in post titles.
