peta i need your strongest potion
My strongest potions would kill you, transitioner.
Oh! I’ll take 2.
The second one un-killed you
i hope you know I heard that like peters little sister from the 80's Folger's Coffee "Peter Comes Home For Christmas" ad
not to be confused with the 2009 ad, nicknamed "folgercest" due to the steamy looks between brother and sister
more info available here (this is one of my favorite videos ever, you should watch it if "folgercest" made you raise an eyebrow)
You mean the ad with Jeffrey Comb's daughter?
is she??
Yup. What a shit job to get so early in your career
should've added this in the body, here's the femme model

The genderfluid must be in a perpetual genderstorm to genderswap every 10 seconds.
i cast testicular torsion on myself at the same time in the opposite direction to nullify the effects B)
I don't think that's how it works
But I don't know, so please report your results.
oww oooof oowwwww
Is this the slippery slope someone kept ranting about?
no, that's just a hill we like to sled on when it snows :3
Huh, it's free now? I could've sworn they charged gold to change gender back in the day.
they sure did.
they've made a number of changes of the sort, hairdressers are free, don't need to change gender for a quest that you used to have to, have the choice of who to romance in another quest (including gay option), you don't have to kiss the frog prince/ss random event if you don't want to and still get the reward...
the quest you had to be a girl for changing kinda annoys me bc it was kinda clever before but if it reduces dysphoria I guess it's good (but I wonder how many people have legitimately felt dysphoria from having to be a girl for a single quest in a video game that looks like runescape... (I guess if a single person is helped it's good tho))
I remember spending a lot of gold trying out different hair styles, nice that that's free now too, as well as the romance options! :)
yeah it's good stuff! jagex has definitely stumbled a few times and there is a very vocal gross minority of younameit-phobes in the playerbase but all in all they've done a great job telling those ppl to shove it.
a whole bunch of free cosmetics with different pride flag colors too :)
Except when they removed the pride event last year in a move that was, ostensibly, to cater to the sensibilities of bigots, at least.
agreed that's one of the stumbles I mentioned. i think it had more to do with the venture capital company that acquired them right around that time though.
Feels more than a stumble to me. It’s not so much that they faltered while still moving forward, it’s that they actively took a step backward. Pride was already an established precedent, devs had worked on pride 2025 already. Hell, some devs even offered to do the dev work for free if it meant they could still do pride, and the answer was still no.
Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely adore OSRS. I have well over 3k hours in the game, but watching this and seeing the price change over the last couple years (two price hikes and removal of the 3-month membership option) feels like watching venture capital hollow out something I love. I do not think things will get better.
yeah I understand where you're coming from.
i have two and a half months left on my yearly membership and I haven't decided if I'm gonna renew it yet. >30% price hike and no grandfathering (as was the precedent) is a fucking haaaarsh sell especially considering this is the longest gap we've had between raids being added. i do appreciate all the midgame content they've been adding regardless of the fact it's irrelevant to me on my main, the game desperately needed it... but as an endgame player it's kinda garbage such a bad price hike without any of my favorite content (not discounting doom or yama or colo, it just doesn't scratch the itch that raids do for me)
You used to have to switch to a female character to do the quest Recruitment Drive, but they changed the mechanics of how that works so it isn't necessary anymore.
They also let you choose which character you want to romance during the Throne of Miscellania quest now.
Throne of Miscellania
Ahhh, I loved that quest as a kid, was so neat to be able to fix up the island and then pop in to collect what they'd gathered.
Yeah itnuswd to be something fairly cheap but not free. Back when I played there was a quest that gender swapped you, and gave you a potion afterwards to swap back. Something had glitched and I lost my potion, SK I just shrugged and spent the next two years playing as a woman because I was too cheap and didn't care enough to cough up for the swap.
iirc you had to go to this guy/gal to swap genders for the quest
spoiler
the reason you had to be a girl is because you got the hint from the guy "no man can defeat me!" which means a gorl could
also sorry if ur not (idk you and am not insinuating) but that last bit reads suuuper eggy lol
Nah, very happy with who I am, just never put too much thought into the pixels I clicked on in games man. Grow up lol
a. not a man
b. i literally said I'm not insinuating cmoooon
How does one learn this magic?
Did you try having less polygons?
My abilities? Well, in all honesty they all come through the amulet I wear. I found it one day after killing a whole nest of gazulibirds (now long extinct). I put the thing on and suddenly my hair grew down to my waist!
Looks like your best bet is to raid every bird nest you can find until you find a Yin~~g~~ and Yang amulet.
Edit: ironic since they're called Peta.
I bought one of the amulets while I was there :3
in fact I sent out a request to the deliveritems clan to bring me 100 gold to buy it bc I didn't bring any
it's a yin yang
The deliveritems clan? How does that work?
it's kinda like the Fuel Rats in Elite: Dangerous if you've heard of them
if you havent
they deliver fuel to people when their ships run out so they're not stranded
basically they'll deliver anything (within reason) anywhere for free. now normally people use it for quests if they forget an item they need and then pay the person for the item and their time when they're back at a bank.
TL;DR: mutual aid! super cool stuff :)
idk but if you find out lemme know!

Moderator Guidelines
Moderator Guidelines
- Don’t be mean to users. Be gentle or neutral.
- Most moderator actions which have a modlog message should include your username.
- When in doubt about whether or not a user is problematic, send them a DM.
- Don’t waste time debating/arguing with problematic users.
- Assume the best, but don’t tolerate sealioning/just asking questions/concern trolling.
- Ask another mod to take over cases you struggle with, if you get tired, or when things get personal.
- Ask the other mods for advice when things get complicated.
- Share everything you do in the mod matrix, both so several mods aren't unknowingly handling the same issues, but also so you can receive feedback on what you intend to do.
- Don't rush mod actions. If a case doesn't need to be handled right away, consider taking a short break before getting to it. This is to say, cool down and make room for feedback.
- Don’t perform too much moderation in the comments, except if you want a verdict to be public or to ask people to dial a convo down/stop. Single comment warnings are okay.
- Send users concise DMs about verdicts about them, such as bans etc, except in cases where it is clear we don’t want them at all, such as obvious transphobes. No need to notify someone they haven’t been banned of course.
- Explain to a user why their behavior is problematic and how it is distressing others rather than engage with whatever they are saying. Ask them to avoid this in the future and send them packing if they do not comply.
- First warn users, then temp ban them, then finally perma ban them when they break the rules or act inappropriately. Skip steps if necessary.
- Use neutral statements like “this statement can be considered transphobic” rather than “you are being transphobic”.
- No large decisions or actions without community input (polls or meta posts f.ex.).
- Large internal decisions (such as ousting a mod) might require a vote, needing more than 50% of the votes to pass. Also consider asking the community for feedback.
- Remember you are a voluntary moderator. You don’t get paid. Take a break when you need one. Perhaps ask another moderator to step in if necessary.
