For those confused. The training tried to say that autistic people were more likely to be socially isolated. That then makes them more likely to be "befriended" into extremism.

It was akin to saying "black people commit more petty crimes". While technically true (poor people commit more petty crimes, and a disproportionate number of blacks are poorer), it runs roughshod over the people it's trying to protect/help.

If you consider progressive movements extremist, then maybe this holds some water, otherwise no.

Most autistic people I've ever met were either progressive, left-wing activists or too focused on their special interest to engage in politics (a small minority).

That said there is a section bias in that I don't associate with bigots, but whatever.

Such prejudice from Ofsted is unfortunately nothing new.

They made the mistake of writing it down and got punished with public oversight. I’m sure they’ll remember to only share their bad takes verbally from now on.

Less serious posts should go in !casualuk@feddit.uk or !andfinally@feddit.uk
More serious politics should go in !uk_politics@feddit.uk.

Try not to spam the same link to multiple feddit.uk communities.

Posts should be related to UK-centric news, and should be either a link to a reputable source, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread.

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.
