Its unlikely that we will, too many people want this and the elites have created a system that has disempowered people completely. You work around it, with VPNs and use other sites.
They have been finding that pretty annoying too, they are banning as much of that as they can currently get away with even if its completely ineffective.
Wealth taxes aren't really about raising more funds for government, they will but its not the goal. The problem is the wealthy have all this excess money and they are driving up the price of everything, houses especially but other assets too and taking wealth away from the rest of society. The goal of wealth taxes is to try and slow that process down, no one yet is talking about reversing it but we really should be because the level of inequality is unsustainable.
The goal is just to remove wealth from those that have too much to restore function to the market, if we don't succeed immense poverty for most people will happen, a trend we are very rapidly accelerating down.
I feel like there is a future of more targeted AI. At the moment something that does spreadsheets has to carry knowledge of programming and chemistry and lots of languages and this seems very heavy for what ultimately we need. A programming language focussed AT dedicated to Rust or Go or Java could potentially be quite a bit smaller especially if they focussed on algorithm snippet and auto complete smarts. There is definitely a market for smaller more targeted uses than these all encompassing chat bots where the goal is to move the state of the art on for existing algorithms.
Puts a lot of evidence towards his claims that Microsoft was behaving badly from the outset and the reason why he started doing this. They keep escalating. Its a war they started.
The death of Stackoverflow is one of these events where the site has been completely killed by AI and yet its contents is completely necessary for AI to know about solving programming problems. Its death will mark the end of AIs ability to learn how to solve programming issues. Its cannibalizing itself in the process, as it destroys its sources it destroys its own ability to learn.
A crime against humanity and a breach of his human right to life is not adequately met by an appology, its more adequately dealt with by a trial for those responsible for the death under human rights legislation. We need to stop letting those in power off for their crimes.
Its not the populace, our politicians just like in the US have gone rogue. People are voting for the nutters due to anti immigration propaganda and so increasingly getting far right. Its happening across the entire western world and its bad news for everyone.
He has clearly been inciting the riots online. Treat him like all the other instigators of this and put out an arrest warrant for terrorism. He should stand in a court room and answer for his actions like everyone else, the billions shouldn't mean he gets to talk to parliament first.
Linus just straight up lied about Billet labs resolution. That alone is horrendous behaviour.
It's precisely what everyone said would happen. Spez and the Reddit team seem not to realise how important mods and users were to their business! The number of people who will do the thankless task of dealing with the internet's undercurrent of horrendous behaviour are few.

Dangerous, it makes the USA an enemy to the entirety of the EU and all of NATO except the USA. Its not just stupid, its caused a permanent relationship change that has changed the EUs posture to defending itself from US aggression and to divest entirely. Nothing the USA does now will change that, this is happening and will continue to happen.
