Hey, it's not the beans' fault that Bri*ish people abuse them in such a horrid way.

Baked beans on toast are good
Beans(derogatory) Beans(complimentary)
I literally just ate baked potato and baked beans. You dont know whats good for you
Reminds me of the time I got talking about food at my old job and I mentioned a simple pinto bean soup maybe with a little melted cheese and corn tortillas being legit childhood comfort meal (and what I was going to have when I got home) and my British coworker couldn't get over seeing it as hardcore poverty struggle food.
Still not sure what's supposed to be wrong with beanies on toast.
Nothing would be wrong if it wasn't baked beanis. You could put beanis of any flavor on toast and you choose baked beanis? Why?
It's like beanie jam
:you-see-how-that's-worse:
I mean there's definitely a way to make beans work as a dessert, key word dessert
China and Japan and most of Asia love their sweet red bean paste desserts and they're right, those are tasty as hell and go great with tea
the problem with baked beanis starts with it being sweet while still being part of the main meal (which in of itself isn't necessarily a problem, see sweet plantains and how good they go with a plate of rice and beans) but then it's made worse due to the vinegar and the overpowering ketchup flavor
Soft creamy beans on crispy toast is already going to be a nice contrast of texture before we even begin talking about taste.
Beans, beans, the musical fruit.
The more you eat, the more you toot.
The more you toot, the better you feel.
So eat your beans with every meal!
I thought I hated beans as a teen because the only exposure I had was baked beans. 😞
A genuine tragedy. Beanis is the best thing to ever happen to my diet
Discovering I could put beans in the air fryer changed everything for me.
Airfried beanis is a new idea for me 😳
They're so good! 200C for 10 minutes, some salt and oil, and they split open and become a little crispy. My favorites to airfry are garbanzos, I'll season them and eat them by the handful lol
Oh fuck, I have some black chickpeas that just finished soaking. I normally roast them but they get quite dry as they cool. Is this still an issue when airfried?
If they're the kind of bean that tend to dry out then they'll get hard and crunchy. Like, hard pretzel pieces.
I'd go for a boil first before airfrying rather than just going from soak to fry, though.
This is great! I've got a ton of cans of edamame beans which are soggy and gross when canned, but this sounds like the ideal fix for them!
What about Beans (Brazilian food)? Maybe even beans (latin American food)
There are beanis in almost every cuisine really. It would take too long to compare them all and defeat the purpose. Regardless, Beanis (British food) is certainly near the bottom.
Imo, the hierarchy of beanis is unknowable to mere mortals
beans (cuban)
Baked beans are only good if they're so hot that you can't taste them. As soon as they cool down to "warm" they're inedible.
Both are good but after years of heinz I was amazed how good refried beans are, i'm yet to try yankee bbq ones

Is my beanspiration
