DANGER: High levels of dihydrogen monoxide have been recorded in this lake. Swim at your own risk.
Don't worry, I've been training my whole life for this by drinking some dihydrogen monoxide every day.
If you've been up in the dose every day you could probably bathe in the stuff now.
I remember an official-looking plaque on the wall outside of a strip mall gym that said:
“100 years ago today, on this spot, nothing happened.”
My brain decided to read all of these in Cunk's voice.
"Lovingly dedicated to the memory of R. Frank Granbert, who loved this bench and HATED people from Belize."
Located in vidor Texas
Are these actually going to be put out in Calgary? I have a friend there and I'm totally going to ask them to keep an eye out if yes
I think they were. I yoinked this off of reddit fucking years ago.
I never saw a point in saving funny pictures, just like I never take pictures of fireworks.
But now all of my reaction gif links don’t work any more, and when I search for memes I saw a decade ago Google has no idea what I’m talking about and shows me TikToks instead. There was a Fun Facts video where the joke was something like “If you dropped India directly on top of Utah, at least three people would die.” Needed it the other day and spent over an hour unsuccessfully looking for it.
So, I guess I was wrong.
Yeah... that's why I started saving stuff to be honest. That and the ADHD hoarding. Now I've got like 1TB of memes and funny videos.
"Jimmy Hoffa waited up to 2 hours in this parking lot for his "friends" after they stood him up for a lunch at the Red Fox Cafe."
"CAUTION: Do not sit here if you actively suffer from contagious butt disease or are susceptible to contracting contagious butt disease."
If you or someone you know contracted contagious butt disease from this bench, you may be entitled to compensation
Love it. Reminds me of something I regret not doing: the parish that sponsored me through ordination was this beautiful gothic church and it had plaques everywhere and for everything. My personal favorite was the one for the air-conditioning (random plaque on a wall that said "The air conditioning of this church was given to the glory of God by [name I can't remember] in the year of our Lord [date I can't remember]"). So what I wanted to do was make a small plaque that said "This piece of gum was placed here to the glory of God..." and stick it underneath a pew near a random bit of gum and just never say anything, treating it like an Easter egg for either some curious child climbing under the pews or for when they have to restore the pews at some point.
Nice collection. How long did it take you to go to all those places to get these?
One of my favorite IRL Easter eggs was attending a beer festival in a random park and finding a cryptid plaque for, apparently, the one island a venomous, flying, furry frog overwinters at before migrating to ~~Nova Scotia~~ Labrador every summer.
I really hope there's a corresponding plaque somewhere in ~~Nova Scotia~~ Labrador.
Oh, man. Fixed.
I don’t want to get on the bad side of the Labradorians again.
People just let you make plaques, don't they? It's easy to forget that. Guerilla commemoration sounds fun.
Calling dibs! My team!
I particularly enjoy the fourth from the top.
