it absolutely fucks me up when a smaller, weaker human tries to tell me that might makes right and consensus-building is weak.

like how am i supposed to not want to put them in a dumpster so the rest of us get back to building society?

It's always pasty computer toucher types who say this shit too

Admittedly I'm a pasty computer toucher type myself, but I at least have the self awareness to recognize that the society these people think they want would be awful for me

Perhaps you can propose to them that if you can dumpster them, they should listen to you, because their opinion is that being stronger makes you right, and the first and only thing you tell them is that this might-makes-right stuff is bullshit and we need to work together democratically?

Really failing to establish why building is more of an arena thing than a long house thing

Me too. Rightwing grifting is so weird. If they use the trending structure - it seems they can plug anything into it.

This is the aesthetics of the Biden Weak Soup Soy vs. STRONG AND POWERFUL Trump steak.

Ninja edit. Soup is probably weak. But it's related to Stew which is strong? So I went with a safer go-to.

Oh, boy, the Longhouse, that's a particular right-wing brainworm I haven't heard in a while

Also the Longhouse sounds like a wayyyy better way to live than the Arena

Yeah but these smooth brained ghouls are fucking weird.

Where do you want to live? In a cozy long house where a community takes care of each other?

Or in an arena where it's dog eat dog and you have to fight each and every day to stay alive?

And they'll proudly say that the arena life would make them feel more alive or some bullshit that would find them dead within the end of the week of arena life.

Can we send this dipshit to the frontlines?

America is remembering how to be a nation of warriors and builders again

    Man, shut the fuck up.

I was so confused by this I thought it was a lib talking about the importance of cultural appropriation of groups like the Haudenosaunee, not...whatever this is. Like I thought this person was in favour of their "Biden era" stuff while reading that paragraph, it sounds exactly like how a lib would talk about it, but then there's the rest and I am left very confused. Also describing it as a "pendulum swing" implies that the US will return to their "Den Mother's watchful eye" stuff soon because...that's how a pendulum works.

Also "Nation of warriors and builders" what? This has always been the strangest part of right wing rhetoric to me, they will both talk about how powerful and destructive they are, but also insist that they are the only ones capable of building anything as well. Which kind of implies that they just constantly break their own shit for no reason (which I suppose checks out).

consistently make anglo-saxon identity, western european supremacy and norse mythology the central pillars of your ideology
immediately shit on the entire history of way of life for all of these cultures by literally using their home as a term of derision in your culture war redditspeak

How does someone look at either of those events and see any meaning or culture at all. It's just naked grift. It's not "longhouse culture" or "arena culture" or any other culture.

If trump really wanted to honor America he would’ve built a Hooters on the White House lawn

The redditism is re-entering my body. The redditism is re-entering my body!

It feels like high school jocks vs nerds. Nerds rise up!

It’s spreading. If y’all need me, I’m going to look for a fedora that fits.
