Insane that a misdemeanor possession charge I got nearly twenty years ago for a bit of weed in my pocket, despite having been expunged, can still be found on a county records search, and yet we have these violent insurrectionist treasonous fucks walking free, now with records wiped clean.

Don’t forget the $1.8 billion slush fund!

[-] AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago

Unlimited. No figure was mentioned in the "settlement."

You always have to pay your solders.

Solder does keep things tightly together 😉

[-] SatansMaggotyCumFart@piefed.world 2 points 13 hours ago

Soldier is too French for me so I prefer the American spelling.

[-] MedicPigBabySaver@lemmy.world 2 points 11 hours ago

Many Americans outside the MAGA shit storm can spell.

As a Veteran, I know "soldier".

Now, back to our regularly scheduled program 😁

It's still on the record, just not the DOJ site. The convictions remain, those court decisions are published for all time.

man I wonder if this guy who I knew awhile back who could not leave the state has been able to hang onto sanity in this age.

You should have dedicated your crimes to Donald Trump.

To me, this is a signal that any future insurrection that keeps trump family in power will not be prosecuted. So feel free to be a traitor to your country against your fellow countrymen.

[-] homes@piefed.world 48 points 1 day ago

The mass pardons were the signal for that. The massive slush fund is a signal they’re gonna get paid for it. This is the signal that now all the criminal records of it are gone.

That’s all of the signals.

And the worst part: to accept a pardon is to accept guilt. That means that all the people who pardoned are on the record admitting that they did the thing they were convicted of.

[-] homes@piefed.world 5 points 1 day ago

But to all of them, getting a pardon means that they’re not guilty. Not just that, but that they were right to do what they did, and that they should do it again!

Just try to explain that to them, I dare you.

ALL THE SIGNALS ICE hired the J6 proud boys.

While most of ICE is incompetent losers there is almost certainly units within ICE being equipped and trained to be Trumps personal militia.

Basically the generic nazis with a group of SS. Surprise to no one, loathsome and scary to any with sense.

[-] Canconda@lemmy.ca -1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Almost as if less than 2 years ago MAGAs were tripping over themselves on tik tok to see who could do the best Nazi salute.

[-] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

Yep, that's the point.

[-] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 14 points 1 day ago

Next: making up stuff and putting it in innocent people’s records in order to arrest and jail them.

[-] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago

The most prolific traitor in American history.

[-] RaoulDook@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

But the Internet never forgets. Tons of video evidence of their crimes is already preserved

[-] radiofreebc@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Until it isn't.

[-] Gerudo@lemmy.zip 4 points 1 day ago

Insert meme of which button to push. "Be MAGA" or "Back the blue"

[-] GreenKnight23@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

I'm shocked...

....that it took this long to happen.
