Went to Disney and Universal in Orlando last year and they wanted face scans at both. You could opt out and scan IDs instead, which we did, but the people at the ticketing treated us like assholes for not scanning.

These have been around for years. They even ban critics and people who have sued any Disney business.

Why? to prevent fraud (annual ticket abuse) and streamline re-entry

...Isn't this why you go to a theme park, to go on the rides you want to....sometimes over and over. Seems they want people at the overpriced popcorn or teddybear stalls and paying to have your face captured. These arseholes just cant help themselves with the pandering to the surveillance overlords.

I can no longer stand seeing that logo of the princess castle now, or the sound that goes with it. They should have went with the poisoned apple.

Your question seems unrelated to the fraud they want to stop?

I agree. I was just miffed and venting at Disney. Some people are committing fraud...so everyone privacy has to suffer.
