I'm not dating but when I did I would put everything in it that might make people disinterested. I don't want to pretend I'm not a communist (or that I'm a cool person who likes to go to music festivals and big parties, or that I'm not into Star Trek out MtG). Just be totally honest about yourself so the people who reach out to you are reaching out to you and not a person that it will make you anxious to pretend to be.
That being said I was never looking to just hook up, but to find a partner for an LTR. If you just want to fuck the calculus is probably different.
When I did try my hand at online dating I mentioned it, yeah. I figure I probably can't handle dating someone who wouldn't be willing to date a communist. It's just a filter that would've been hit eventually anyway. It's not like I hide my political views. I just ranted about palestine to a new coworker the other day lmao

I wouldnt oppose being called a communist but im still figuring things out. Im also cool with Anarchism and find that pretty interesting. I just would feel a bit like a poser if I called myself a communist considering my knowledge of communism (theory) is pretty surface level and I dont really do much praxis.

No, because people have very inconsistent views of what 'communist' means. It's not that I'm not proud of it, just that people are liable to not understand when just reading text. Any commie that viewed my profile would probably work it out from other statements anyway.
