Tucker is not an outsider as he portrays himself. His father, Dick Carlson, was the president of Voice of America, which makes him tied to the CIA. Tucker is very likely a fed.

I was going to make a joke about extremely critical support to israel in the ONE instance, but even better, let them fight 1v1

Carlson has been few on the right that has been critical of Israel. No way should you ever critically support Genocidal Israel.

Yeah but he does so in a very calculated cynical way where he doesn't actually give a shit about Palestinians and only humanizes them specifically in the context of some Palestinians being Christian

He wants amerikkka to be able to get away with washing their hands of this genocide

Tucker is only critical of Isreal because he's part of the rightwing of actual, existing antisemites. He's a nazi sympathizer and any criticism he has of Isreal is because it's a Jewish ethnostate. He doesn't give a shit about Palestinians. He's more concerned about Isreal starting a world war and triggering the Rapture.

They killed and detained so many people that they finally got one who actually deserves it.

They let Thunberg and all of her posse go, Carlson will be fine. This performative shit will just strengthen his viewership.

It will also divide the right with the nazis and non foreign aid side against the zionist/evangelist side. So I’m here for that at least. It is still annoying that both those sides are still going to be unified under Trump tho.

Famously not. Meanwhile Carlson was delayed at the airport and this outlet is trying to make it seem like he was thrown into some kind of torture interrogation as a rebellious voice of the people.

This media manipulation bullshit is so fucking stupid, easy to spot, and tiresome. I absolutely HATE that it works so well.

When you think about it, Tucker Carlson ended up being bigger than Jon Stewart in the long-run. He’s mentioned all the time as a relevant figure in politics while Jon comes across as a relic of a bygone era.

Stewart mocked Tucker for the tranparentness of his "both sides in rational debate" schtick who responded by dropping the mask and in turn becoming more relevant than Stewart stuck still clinging to his "I'm just a comedian" mask.

Carlson is a fascist who wants to gain and use political power

Stewart is a comedian who wants to criticise and embarass and debate those holding power bc he thinks it will make them change their minds (or more cynically, bc it gets him views)

Its not shocking to me that one faded into irrelevance and the other is walking around the halls of power

Ok I thought they put him in custody based on that headline, but they just took his passport and had him in limbo at the airport for a while. They did actually detain the/a producer though.

Oh no! Is someone figuring out all that stuff on paper doesn't mean shit when met with actual force is actually bad?

Apparently all they did was ask him a few questions then let him go.

Tucker is smart and completely spineless. He'll immediately cave to Israel and pivot to all pro-Zionist rhetoric, but leave in some weird verbal cues that can be interpreted as being said under duress, to keep his conspiracy neo-Nazi audience engaged.

I'm thinking something similar to "everyone knows that segregation is the b... worst thing that's every happened to this country".

Mr Carlson, your papers please... thank you... zo, we have heard that you have been insufficiently patriotic about Germany, going zo far as to criticise our extermination of ze untermenschen.

afaik he was outspoken on war with Iran, he says it is against US interests. So him getting detained is a signal nobody really cares about his position at all.
