Deathloop was clearly rushed, but I still loved the gameplay and freedom to tackle things in many ways. It needed more time and money to meet the ambition of its design, and it was an early warning sign of the state of Arkane.
I enjoyed it up to the end where it was revealed it's connected to another game series that I do not care for. That immediately killed my entire emotional investment in the game.
I enjoyed my time with it. Working out the correct path was fun though I was really disappointed that there was only 1 path and to finish the game you just followed the objective marker. There were some fun moments though and I enjoyed the powers and the repeating elements. The endings were pretty poor I agree. I think it really depends how much the core gameplay appeals to you as to how much you'd enjoy it.
Most endings of so called AAA games are rushed and unsatisfying. It's the curse of budget limits/cuts.
