Disagree. Caitlyn Jenner fucking sucks but we don't have to invalidate her perfectly legitimate, valid, and real gender identity to express disdain for her

Yeah 2066 is a bummer. I think the one this article talks about and the capital gains tax were way more important to shoot down so I am at least thankful about that. And yeah Heywood absolutely is filling the Eyman shit hole and I am not looking forward to it

What I've held onto post election is my city (Seattle) and state had really good outcomes for elections. One of the few places in the country that swung more left.

There were 4 initiatives on the ballot, all put forth by a conservative millionaire to repeal good laws. One looks like it will unfortunately pass (I 2066, to get rid of electrification initiatives for housing, which is a bummer) but the other 3 lost by a lot, including the one this article mentions. We also replaced our awful 3 time losing city council member who was appointed. And we passed our very necessary transportation levy. Not to mention our former AG, who was one of trumps biggest enemies last administration is now our governor.

The next 4 years will not be nice. But I'm privileged, happy, and thankful I get to be here for them

Late post sorry about that.

I've been playing a lot of UFO 50. Finished golfaria and started night manor.

Also played through the puzzle game escape from mystwood mansion. It was decent. A little short but good overall.

I've been playing a tonnnn more UFO 50. Beat Vainger, started Mini and Max (absolutely amazing). Also did the whole meta game secret thing to the end which was super fun!

Removing for dupe

Nice! I havent used lua before but will look at it when my system arrives as I'd rather use that than C haha.

I saw someone started / did a wario ware style game for the playdate but I really want to try my hand at something like that. With the accelerometer, crank, buttons, etc it seems like the perfect device for quick micro games like that!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

I get that. But at the same time I have a bit of an obsession with handheld devices. And there's enough of a cool indie scene that I think I'd use it quite a bit, and develop for it myself. UFO 50 is my goty and I feel that same sense of discovery and fun I could get out of a device like this

Aight. You know what. I've been eyeing this thing for hella long. I've had a shitty few weeks. I can afford it. Just ordered one! Excited for December! I'll def try your game out :)

Man I want one of these so bad 😩

Whatcha all been playing?

I finished silent hill 2 and was quite happy with it. Overall some things I would have done differently but it was a really solid effort, and I think a great way to play the game if you havent before.

Also played through the Alan wake 2 lake house dlc. It was pretty good. Lore and writing was too notch as usual, but the combat I found to be pretty frustrating. A good time though. Took me about 2 hours

I'm also back on the UFO 50 grind. Cherried rail heist and I'm onto playing vainger!

I've had issues with image upload as well. There's a size limit but also an absolute pixel limit as well. So cropping the image may work

Whatcha all been playing?

I've been pushing myself through silent hill 2 remake. Not because it's bad but because it's so damn scary to me 😭.

I live for horror games but this game fills me with so much dread nearly every second. I have a few nitpicks with decisions they made, but now that I'm on the final area I think they really did do as good a job as you can with this remake. It's really damn solid

That's true, and fair. I am optimistic though since from what I understand Arkane didn't want to develop a multiplayer game. Sounds like this has been something remedy wanted to do

Tbh every time this project was mentioned I assumed it was a PVP thing. I'm WAY more interested knowing it's a co-op thing!

Yeah I'm realizing I didn't word that super well. Yes sync is a thing and they know that, but they don't want to have to use Firefox on mobile because they think it's slow

That's super fair and I agree for the most part. Though it's hard to be super enthusiastic about it when they focus on a plethora of super limited edition color ways for the pocket instead of keeping the base one in stock and completely abandoning DAC support which they promised a while ago (and recently scrubbed all mention of on their site)

What y'all been playing?

I've been playing a bunch of silent hill 2 which has been quite fantastic so far imo. Really nailed the vibes of the original.

Also been playing balatro on my phone a lot

Late thread this week, sorry bout that.

I've been playing more UFO 50 which continues to be phenomenal. I'm almost done with the new Zelda which has also been stellar. Tonight silent hill 2 remake comes out which I'm so excited to play!!!
