Bonnie the only survivor of the 4 kittens with parvo is back home today. (lemmy.zip)

So I initially sent the four kittens to the vet on December 19 so they were there for 22 days obviously three passed away while they were there battling parvo.. I thought it was gonna pay an arm and a leg, but the vet staff pulled me aside and told me that they would be covering the costs of care for them during that time 😭😭 and honestly it’s so nice because all the rescuing and fostering I do comes out of my pocket like I don’t have any donation set up nothing so it was really nice of them.

Anyways, Bonnie is doing really well. She has an appetite she’s playing with her toys in a cage while on quarantine until she can get her vaccinations and be introduced to the rest of my cats

You've met a great vet, I'm glad at least one of them is fine now!

At the mean time, one of my family's cat is fighting some other illness. I hope he will pull through it too.

She’s so great; sometimes I just messaged her and she gives me medical guidance for free from a video call she’s just actually in it for the animals not the money 😭

Congratulations Bonnie! I was worried.

Pyro didn't do as well as Bonnie. Pyro succumbed to lymphoma on Wed the 7th. She went downhill that morning, we got a confirmation of lymphoma rather than Addison's disease, and she crossed the rainbow bridge within hours, smelling me the entire time. She got at least 5/8 good years, and one last night of cuddling me closer than she ever had. She laid on my face rather than my armpit.

Hydro mourned for about 5 minutes. I'm probably going to miss Pyro, and eventually Hydro, forever.

Parvo is the worst man. Back when I was a teenager my family lost a puppy we only had for a couple months to parvo
