A reminder that as the US continues to threaten countries around the world, fedposting is to be very much avoided (even with qualifiers like "in Minecraft") and comments containing it will be removed.

As is tradition, at around this time of year, we discuss the latest developments in the communist plan to destroy Christmas and everything festive and jolly - including that bastard kulak Santa Claus. Down with holly and myrrh, and up with historical materialism!

This year, I'm highlighting the economic trend of de-Decemberization, as the world struggles to break free from the seasonal hegemony imposed by the North Pole. Some regard it as a rather overhyped phenomenon, stating that the chains of Christmas are too frozen for any country to thaw and break in the current environment. Others are more optimistic, and assert that perhaps an alternative world holiday could be established to outright replace it, or maybe a series of smaller holiday traditions can bring it down like a pack of wolves bringing down a moose.

To return to seriousness, as this year draws to a close, I hope everybody here - yes, also you, the person reading this - has a 2026 that was better than 2025, and that the efforts of the United States and their proxies are foiled at every turn. One day, humans will live in a world free from empires, and it would be nice if as many of us as possible lived to see that world's birth.

At the very least, I'd like to live to see an aircraft carrier sink beneath the waves.

Anybody know what to make of these new Trump Class battleships?

I thought the battleship was obsolete as a platform.

“The US Navy will lead the design of these ships along with me because I’m a very aesthetic person,” Trump said.

Fitted with “guns and missiles a the highest level,” hypersonic weapons, electric rail guns, cruise missiles and the “most sophisticated lasers in the world,” the new battleships will be the largest ever built, Trump said.

They will each weigh between 30,000 and 40,000 tons, he said, and will be built in the United States. “They’ll be very AI controlled,” he said, without explanation.

“We envision that these ships will be the first of a whole new class ships to be produced in the years to come,” he said.

Initially, the Navy will build two of the “Trump class” ships, quickly followed by eight more. Trump said he envisioned 20-25 of the vessels, which he said would become the “flagship of the American Naval fleet.”

Also you kinda don't name your ships after yourself. Not only it's cringy as fuck but it's also super risky because warships are seen as the ultimate symbol of military might of your country, and when they're sunk (the risk is ALWAYS there, even accidental sinking is possible at all times) it usually means great dishonor. Hitler, for example, forbid the Navy to name ships after him because he knew that if the Royal Navy sunk the battleship "Adolf Hitler" everyone would mock him, and Hitler, like all fascists and nazis, was like super thin skinned. He even changed the name of one of the Navy's "pocket battleships" from "Deutchsland" to "Lützow" because he couldn't have a ship named after his nation sunk by the enemy lmao (and to make things worse the ship was captured, raised and sunk in gunnery trials by the USSR after the war ended)

Trump just wants his name on everything, it's very insufferable. I assume libs must be completely mad at this because they feel this is the kind of shit that "third world dictators" would do. Either way, Trump even sucks at naming things after him. All he does is add some golden plating to a building to call it TRUMP TOWER and that's it. As president he could really cement his legacy well into the future by slapping his horrible name into things his administration would build like bridges, waterways, tunnels, cancer research centers, nuclear power plants, dams and so on. But the US elites don't believe in developing projects like these so Trump wont have his brand-new TRUMP DAM giving a lot of electricity to nearby towns and cities, an actual material improvement for once. No, he wants his stupid ass name in some ass looking warship.

The navy has released some specs for the proposed Trump Class guided-missile battleship. Given my many hours of experience playing Sea Power: Naval Combat in the Missile Age, I figured I would give my thoughts.

::: spoiler Part 1 of 2

Background

Since the end of the Cold War the USN has sought to develop a class of guided-missile cruisers/destroyers to replace the retired Iowa Class BBs and the aging Ticonderoga Class cruisers. The consensus was reached that the shore bombardment capabilities of the BBs could be replaced by ship/submarine launched cruise missiles and air-launched precision guided missile. The USN has proposed four different classes of ships to fulfill these requirements to various degrees, all failed. The SC-21, CG(X), DDG(X) programs were proposed, but never got pass the drawing board. The Zumwalt Class destroyers, of which only 3 of the initially planned 32 have been built at extraordinarily high costs and all have taken a decade to go from being laid down to commissioning. Because of this, the US is still building Arleigh Burke Class Destroyers first launched in 1988, which with modern refits are still capable ships, but the USN is lacking a modern hull that can go blow for blow with modern PLAN ships.

Existing and Past Large(er) Guided-Missile Ships – An Overview

Kirov Class Battle Cruiser - Built by the Soviet Union starting in 1974 and now operated by the Russian Navy, of the four built, two are still in service. The Pyotr Velikiy* (Formerly the Yuri Andropov) is the only one currently active as the Admiral Nakhimov* (Formerly the Kalinin) recently completed her refit and is undergoing new sea trials before she can be accepted back into active duty. Their main armament is the 20 P-700 Granit anti ship missile (Which will likely be replaced by the P-800 Onixs) at the time of it's introduction, the P-700 was widely regarded to be the most lethal anti-ship missile system and was given the NATO reporting name of Shipwreck. They also carry 30 S-300F and 30 S-300FM surface-to-air missiles as well as 128 shorter range 3K95 Khinzal surface-to-air missiles. With a displacement of 24,000 tons unloaded and 28,000 tons unloaded, the Kirov Class are the largest guided missile cruisers ever built and the only non-aircraft carrier combat vessle to be powered by a nuclear reactor. Despite their age they can still pose a serious threat to US carrier groups.

*They were renamed after Imperial Russian naval figures following the triumph of the forces of reaction.

Ticonderoga Class Cruisers - Built from 1980 to 1994 for the USN. Of the 27 built, 7 are still active, but all are planned to be retired by 2029, most will still be in the reserve fleet for many years to come. They have a displacement of 9,600 long tons when fully loaded. Their main armament is the 122 Mark 41 VLS cells, which can carry the SM family of surface-to-air missiles or BGM-109 Tomahawk surface-to-surface missiles. The USS Vincennes, was responsible for the intentional downing of Iran Air Flight 655, killing all 290 passengers and crew. The USS Gettysburg was responsible for shooting down an F/A-18F Super Hornet in the Red Sea during the US aggression on Ansar Allah and Yemen.

Type-055 Destroyer - Built for the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN), the Type-055 class of destroyers are the largest guided-missile ships deployed by the PLAN. The first ship of the class, the Nanchang was first laid down in 2014 and commissioned in 2020, since then an additional seven have been commissioned and a further 4 are under construction, with a further 4 planned for a total of 16. They are designated as Renhai Class Cruisers by the USN because they are large multi-mission ships with flag facilities and to milk more money from the budget. They have a displacement of 11,000 long tons, about 4,500 tons smaller than the Zumwalt Class Destroyers, but much of the Zumwalt's tonnage goes towards useless bullshit, so it all evens out in the end. The Type-055's main armament is it's 112 GJB 5860-2006 VLS cells, which can deploy HHQ-9 long range surface-to-air missiles, YJ-18 anti-ship cruise missiles, and CJ-10 land-attack cruise missiles. They also carry 24 HHQ-10 as point defense missiles. The type-055 incorporates stealth features designed to reduce its radar cross section and the infrared signature from the smokestack. Personally, I am skeptical of how useful stealth on ship is with the proliferation of satellite reconnaissance and autonomous targeting, but I’m sure people who know more can explain its usefulness. The Zunyi in March of this year was part of a task force which conducted live fire exercises in international waters in the Tasman Sea.

Zumwalt Class Destroyer – Many are calling it the navy’s largest boondoggle; many others are calling it their largest boondoggle as of yet. The first ship of the class, the USS Zumwalt was laid down in 2011 and commissioned in 2016 but wasn’t accepted into service until 2020. The second ship, the Michael Monsoor also took 10 years to commission and the third ship, the Lyndon B. Johonson is planned to commission in 2027, after it was laid down in 2017. With a displacement of 15,500 long tons, they are the largest surface combat ships operated by the USN since the Battleship Missouri was retired in 1992. For its main armament, the Zumwalt Class features 80 MK 57 VLS cells, which has backwards compatibility with missiles designed for MK 41 VLS cells used on most other USN ships. They were equipped with the 155mm Advanced Gun System, which has a possible range of up to 150km using rocket assisted shells, the problem is that each shell cost over a million dollars and the Navy canceled procurement in 2016, so the guns are practically useless and are supposedly going to be replaced with hypersonic missile launch systems, which I assume means additional VLS cells, but I haven’t found any reliable information. The hull is designed for stealth and supposedly has a radar cross section comparable to a ‘fishing boat,’ the problem is that if I am a radar operator for the PLAN, a fishing boat moving at 30knts is rather suspicious. They are powered by 4 Rolls-Royce gas turbines capable of creating 78MW. Outfitted with an integrated power system which allows the engines to provide power to the ship’s propulsion and systems. This would potentially power a future rail gun, but I’ll get into railguns in the next section. In total the program cost over 25 billion dollars ($5 billion per ship not counting R&D costs), and delivered a total of 3 ships, with less VLS cells than a new Arleigh Burke which costs half the price.

A plane with high-ranking Libyan GNU military officers crashed in Turkey on its way home from Ankara

Just yesterday their opposition in the civil war, the LNA, received a big $4 billion arms deal from Pakistan.

The Libyan civil war is a giant mess so I make no judgement about whether this is good or bad.

Honduras’ National Electoral Council (CNE) Consummates Electoral Coup and Declares Nasry Asfura President - Telesur English

Article

Councilors of the CNE who answer to the two-party system of Honduras declared Nasry Juan Asfura Zablah as president-elect for the period 2026-2030, without concluding the special scrutiny or resolving the challenges presented.

Councilors Ana Paola Hall García and Cossette Alejandra López Osorio of Honduras’ National Electoral Council (CNE) consummated the electoral coup and declared Nasry Juan Asfura Zablah, of the National Party, as president-elect on Wednesday, December 24, for the term from January 27, 2026, to January 27, 2030.

The recognition of Asfura, a candidate publicly supported by Donald Trump, comes amid serious allegations of irregularities during the vote counting process, strong foreign interference, and a conspiracy orchestrated before the November 30 elections.

The allegations were supported by both the ruling Liberty and Refoundation Party (Libre) and the Liberal Party, as well as CNE councilor Marlon Ochoa, who, among other points, objected to the councilors’ refusal to conduct a recount.

Earlier, Liberal Party presidential candidate Salvador Nasralla rejected the National Electoral Council’s (CNE) eventual proclamation of election results. Nasralla strongly criticized the body’s decision, asserting that a large majority of citizens do not support the way the process is taking.

In a message addressed to council members Ana Paola Hall and Cossette López, Nasralla stated that the electoral institutions respond to interests other than the popular will and maintained that the system favors figures linked to corruption. He insisted that his candidacy represents a break with these practices and reiterated that the population rejects the way in which the electoral process is being concluded.

Meanwhile, former Foreign Minister Enrique Reina warned on Wednesday, December 24, about the CNE’s intention to declare a “de facto president-elect” in Honduras without completing the official vote count, thus consolidating the electoral coup. Reina posted on social media: “This is how Honduras wakes up, with an electoral coup underway and a National Electoral Council (CNE) comprised of two illegal members, marching toward declaring a de facto president-elect.”

Reina’s accusation comes after a CNE plenary session held on Tuesday, December 23, where magistrates Ana Hall (Liberal Party) and Cossette López (National Party) rejected the review of approximately 10,000 tally sheets with inconsistencies, thus dismissing the challenges.

For his part, CNE council member Marlon Ochoa described the measure as an electoral coup, arguing that the declaration was made without the completion of the special recount and without resolving the nearly 288 challenges filed, in addition to the approximately 10,000 tally sheets with inconsistencies still pending a vote-by-vote recount.

Ochoa filed a formal complaint with the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Tegucigalpa against the National Electoral Council (CNE) for its intention to declare the results without completing the vote count. As part of his complaint, Ochoa presented 10 new audio recordings that “prove the electoral fraud orchestrated by the two-party system.” These recordings, he indicated, contain the voices of a former president, a former presidential candidate from the Liberal Party, a foreign presidential advisor, the Argentinian Fernando Cerimedo, and other unidentified voices.

The CNE council member emphasized the “most vulgar and blatant foreign interference in the country’s history,” directly pointing to the United States government. Ochoa denounced a campaign of threats by the U.S. to influence the elections, and specifically the candidacy of Nasry Juan Asfura Zablah.

Ochoa highlighted “the litany of actions by the United States government,” including threats of economic sanctions if their preferred candidate, Nasry Juan Asfura Zablah, did not win. He also referred to the sending of millions of text messages to remittance recipients warning of the loss of their funds if the candidate of then-US President Donald Trump did not prevail, which Ochoa concluded constituted a “violation of respect for the sovereign will of the people.”

Marlon Ochoa reiterated that it is a “crime” to declare a president with hundreds of tally sheets still unprocessed and with evidence of inconsistencies. Upon leaving the Public Prosecutor’s Office, he detailed the illegal scheme seeking to sabotage the election results, stating: “What is even more serious is that when one analyzes the universe of tally sheets where the number of voters on the tally sheet matches the number of voters registered on the biometric device, the winner of the election is not the person they are now trying to declare as president of the Republic.”

In rip-bozo news:

Denis Nikitin / Kapustin, aka White Rex, leader of the Russian Volunteer Corps (RDK), a unit of Russian neo-nazis created by Ukrainian military intelligence, has been killed at the front.

The RDK announced it on their social media, claiming that he was killed by a Russian FPV drone on the frontlines of the Zaporizhzhia oblast.

Kapustin was quite an important figure in the global neo-nazi scene. As a child, he received a visa to move from Russia to Germany. A rather special visa — for those of Jewish descent. This didn’t stop him from opening a white nationalist merchandise network called ‘White Rex’, which also became his nickname. Eventually wanted for violent crimes in both the EU and Russia, he found a welcome home in Ukraine. After 2022, Ukraine’s military intelligence gathered the motley crew of Russian neo-nazis around Nikitin to create the Russian Volunteer Corps.

Nikitin’s strategy of opening MMA fight clubs for racially conscious whites only has become popular for neo-nazis around the world. Nikitin and his Russian emigre friends in Ukraine also played a major role in glorifying the 2019 Christchurch massacre, translating the racist manifesto into Russian numerous times.

Nikitin also played a direct role in aiding neo-nazi forces as far away as the southern hemisphere. Australian media was already writing in 2021 of Nikitin’s influential role and even direct involvement in organizing Australia’s ‘National Socialist Network’, which nowadays is becoming more and more visible.

[...]

Nikitin’s RDK has in fact lost a number of troops to frontline fighting in recent weeks. One week ago, RDK media put out obituaries for a number of its fighters.

According to Ukrainian blogger Anatoly Shariy, Nikitin died fighting for the southern town of Huliaipole. I’ll cover the situation there tomorrow, but what’s important is that the city is now essentially lost to the Russians. The RDK was chucked in to try and salvage a disastrous situation.

Things are clearly bad at the frontlines if the likes of the RDK are being thrown into dangerous assault missions. There clearly just isn’t enough dispensable infantry left. Now it’s up to the RDK, which was originally intended as a psywar tool to undermine Russian society, rather than an infantry assault unit.

An ignominious fate for the RDK. This is a very well-funded unit, with support from powerful Russian (-Israeli) oligarchs like Leonid Nevzlin. The RDK is one of the star units of Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR), and its leaders constantly go on interviews, playing the part of the fearless special op superhero.

The infantry deficit must be quite bleak if UA is throwing their media battalions into already lost cities.

any submarine heads want to give the newscomm a run down of DPRK's new submarine? @Awoo@hexbear.net ?

Workers, scientists and technicians in the warship-building field, all out in the glorious struggle for implementing the WPK's policy of modernizing the navy, are pushing ahead with the building of a strategic nuclear attack submarine, one of the five-point major tasks for developing the defence capabilities set forth at the 8th Congress of the WPK, by fully displaying the great power of self-reliance and inexhaustible patriotic enthusiasm.

Kim Jong Un stressed once again the importance and significance of building a strategic nuclear attack submarine in carrying out the self-reliant defence policy of the WPK and the government of the DPRK.

Former anti-imperialist military school facilities to become an “ecological barracks” in Bolivia - AP News Spanish

Article

LA PAZ, Bolivia (AP) — The facilities of the Anti-Imperialist Military School, which Iran financed in Bolivia during the leftist government of Evo Morales, will become a barracks for training military personnel in fighting forest fires, announced center-right President Rodrigo Paz less than a month after taking office.

Morales (2006-2019) founded the school in 2016 with the support of Iran and Venezuela as part of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA) with the aim of providing “anti-imperialist” training to military personnel from that bloc, created in 2004 by then-presidents Fidel Castro of Cuba and Hugo Chávez of Venezuela.

“These facilities will be useful to our Armed Forces, not from an ideological point of view, but in terms of serving the country,” Paz said during a visit Thursday afternoon to the school located in a rural area north of the city of Santa Cruz, in the eastern part of the country.

He added that “they will serve to protect our natural areas and reservoirs” from the forest fires that strike eastern Bolivia every year.

The president's announcement came in the context of a new geopolitical vision after nearly 20 years of leftist Movement Toward Socialism (MAS) governments characterized by alignment with Venezuela, Cuba, Iran, Nicaragua, and Russia.

After his election on October 19, Paz announced a rapprochement with Washington and promised “a fluid relationship with the United States.” Since the expulsion of the US ambassador in 2008, La Paz and Washington have had no relations at the ambassadorial level.

The school, where Bolivian officers attended lectures on anti-imperialist geopolitics and whose attendance was a requirement for promotion, was closed in early 2020 by then-interim president Jeanine Añez following Morales' resignation and renamed Héroes de Ñancahuazú in memory of the Bolivian soldiers who killed the legendary guerrilla Ernesto “Che” Guevara. It has been closed since then and was guarded by soldiers during the administration of leftist President Luis Arce (2020-2025).

Bolivia and Iran maintained close relations during the Morales and Arce administrations. Tehran donated a hospital in the city of El Alto and signed defense cooperation agreements that failed to materialize.

In 2011, the visit of the then Iranian Defense Minister, Ahmad Vahidi, to that school sparked a diplomatic row with Argentina that forced the Morales government to expel Vahidi, who had an international arrest warrant as the ideological co-author of the 1994 attack on the Buenos Aires headquarters of the Argentine Israelite Mutual Association (AMIA) that left 85 dead.

In line with the new political orientation of the Paz administration, the Bolivian army also restored its previous design on its official website on Friday and removed symbols such as the indigenous flag that Morales had created.

Bolivia's "Anti-Imperialist School," formally the Juan José Torres Anti-Imperialist Command School, was opened in 2016 by President Evo Morales to teach anti-colonial, anti-capitalist thought to its military, countering U.S. influence, but it was later closed and replaced by another school under the subsequent government. It focused on identifying threats to sovereignty, linking armed forces to social movements, and contrasting with the U.S. School of the Americas. Under Jeanine Áñez closed the school in 2019/2020, renaming it the Heroes of Ñancahauzú Military School, honoring Che Guevara's assassins.

The Anti-Imperialist School in Bolivia was renamed in honor of General Juan José Torres, a socialist leader and Bolivian president from 1970-1971, known for his left-wing nationalist and anti-imperialist policies that sought social transformation, was deposed by a right-wing coup and later assassinated under Operation Condor.

@jack@hexbear.net Noboa just ignored his own referendum because he lost.

Over $13 billion in US military aid to Israel improperly tracked: IG

A Pentagon inspector general report released last week concluded that the Department of Defense did not properly track significant portions of the $13.4 billion in military aid sent to support Israel following Hamas’ deadly attack on Oct. 7, 2023.

more

As of November 2024, the Pentagon maintained records for only 44% of the defense articles subject to enhanced monitoring, the report found, down from 69% before the war in Gaza began. Investigators said the oversight gaps were driven by staffing constraints and changes in the operational environment in Israel, and warned that such lapses increase the risk of sensitive U.S. weapons technology falling into the hands of hostile actors. “Without effective accountability, these [enhanced end-use monitoring, or EEUM] defense articles could be acquired by adversaries in the region,” the report stated. “Adversaries who obtain EEUM defense articles would have firsthand access and knowledge of sensitive U.S. weapon systems technology, decreasing the technological advantage in the battlefield and increasing the risk to the United States, partner nations, and allies.” The partially redacted audit did not detail the types of defense articles involved.

Federal law, under the Arms Export Control Act, requires oversight of defense articles sold, leased or exported to foreign partners through end-use monitoring programs. The investigation also determined U.S. Central Command and the Defense Security Cooperation Agency “did not conduct adequate oversight of the EEUM program in Israel.” Between October 2023 and April 2024, officials said they were unable to track 42 deliveries of more than four million munitions because much of the equipment had already been deployed in Israel’s ongoing military operations. CENTCOM faced similar challenges during the Iraq War from 2013 to 2017, when the hostile environment limited appraisals, according to the report. The Inspector General proposed that CENTCOM conduct either an in-person or remote Security Cooperation Organization inspection of the Office of Defense Cooperation-Israel in fiscal year 2026, a proposal the command has agreed to implement. The findings come as a U.S.-brokered ceasefire in Gaza, which took effect in mid-October, led to the release of the last 20 surviving hostages in the war-torn enclave in exchange for nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners and detainees. The U.S. has provided Israel with more than $200 billion in military and economic assistance since World War II.

Chinese military simulated battles near Mexico, Cuba and Taiwan, CCTV report shows

Rare insight revealed on state television in footage from a PLA wargaming event in central China where dozens of systems were demonstrated

more

The Chinese military has simulated battles near Mexico and Cuba during a wargaming exercise – a rare insight revealed in a report on state television. Cuba, the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea, along with the Sea of Okhotsk and Taiwan, were among the locations of conflict scenarios visible on screens in a CCTV report on Friday showing People’s Liberation Army wargaming exercises. Despite closer economic ties with countries in the region, China has a minimal military presence in Latin America. But the fact that the PLA is modelling potential conflicts there suggests a shift in the Chinese military’s global ambitions. One screen in the report showed red and blue opposing unit “indicators” – represented by aircraft and ships – manoeuvring near the coasts of Cuba and Mexico. Some of the blue side congregated near Houston, Texas, and headed southeast into the Gulf of Mexico, while the red side was seen in the Caribbean Sea. In a typical PLA drill, the red side usually represents the Chinese military while the blue side is the enemy.

During the CCTV report, a close-up focused on Cuba showed the lines of trajectory of aircraft and ships in the region in what was likely a simulation of a tactical operation. Chinese researchers were seen pointing to the screen and discussing the situation. The footage was recorded at a PLA wargaming event held in Xuchang, Henan province, which was attended by 20 units from across the military and its academies. Dozens of simulation systems were demonstrated – all of them developed in China. The report did not provide further information about any of the conflict scenarios. In another map seen in the report, the red side was shown clustered near Russia’s far eastern coast while blue indicators were positioned over Hokkaido in Japan and the disputed Kuril Islands.

Taiwan also featured at the centre of a map in one of the wargaming systems shown in the report. Beijing sees the self-governed island as part of China, to be reunited by force if necessary. Most countries, including the United States, do not see Taiwan as an independent state, but many oppose any forcible change to the status quo. Washington is also committed to supplying Taiwan with weapons for its defence. With tensions rising in the region in recent years, the PLA has held frequent exercises around Taiwan and also conducted joint training with Russia in the Sea of Okhotsk and the Sea of Japan. The Chinese and Russian air forces held a joint patrol earlier this month, with two Russian Tu-95 bombers flying across the Sea of Japan to join two Chinese H-6 bombers over the East China Sea. That came after Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi enraged Beijing by suggesting last month that Japan could intervene militarily in the event of a conflict in the Taiwan Strait.

The CCTV report also showed the PLA simulating an air battle between Chinese J-16 fighters and French-made Rafale fighter jets. Details of PLA war games are rarely revealed – they are usually highly classified. According to the CCTV report, the wargaming event aimed to “help commanders learn how to fight without engaging in actual combat by creating a low-cost, immersive and repeatable adversarial environment”. It said the PLA’s wargaming systems covered land, sea, air, space and electromagnetic domains, with integrated cutting-edge technologies such as AI-powered models, big data analytics and real-time simulation engines.

From Russian telegram:

Anti-Soviet agitation and propaganda are recognized as acts that pose no public danger, and those convicted of them are subject to rehabilitation, regardless of the factual basis of the charges. This is what the Presidium of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, chaired by Igor Krasnov, stated after reviewing the case of an Odessa resident convicted in 1950 of treason and counterrevolutionary agitation.

While living in occupied territory, Ivan Mok voluntarily served as a village elder and carried out the instructions of the Nazi invaders. After repatriation, while in the Kirov region, he conducted anti-Soviet agitation among the local population.

The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation overturned the court rulings regarding the punishment for counterrevolutionary agitation, but upheld the sentence for treason.

Commentary:

Several days have passed since the sentencing of the five Ufa Marxists (* listed by Rosfinmonitoring as extremists and terrorists), who were given inappropriate, unrealistic prison terms in a fabricated, custom-made case. Many have noticed that the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) functionaries have stuck their tongues up their flabby, well-groomed asses. The bravest among them, without personal comment, reprinted the bourgeois media's news report about the verdict. The Zyuganovites clearly have no time for such trifles; they're busy counting how many times government members have traveled abroad and, of course, not forgetting to lay flowers at Stalin's bust.

I'm sure they won't utter a word about today's unprecedented decision—the de facto decriminalization and legitimization of anti-Soviet agitation and propaganda. And, mind you, this came not from those who cursed the Soviet regime in their hearts and told anti-Soviet jokes, but from those who aided the Nazis during the war—which, you must admit, is not quite the same thing.

Do the parliamentary Zyuganovites, who are on the payroll, understand that this is not just a hefty kick in the pants, but also an extremely dangerous precedent, essentially an open Pandora's box?

Once again. Judging by the ringing silence, few people understood what happened today.

This is more important than all the momentary fuss and bustle. This is a one-way ticket. Not for anyone in particular. For the country as a whole. For each individual and for everyone together.

The beginning of the end of Marxism in Russia. It was a good run though.

Marxism survived tsarist repression. It will survive this. It is not the first time marxists get arrested in RF.

“The Venezuelan army is distributing weapons among people in working-class areas. These militias will form armed resistance to defend their nation in the event of a U.S. attempt to occupy the country.

A noteworthy point is the delivery of KLF weapons manufactured in Iran.”

Watched Sky News report on Venezuela this morning and it was basically all "yeah this is about oil, US wants Venezuela's oil" which surprised me.

They were posing the questions "Is it about drugs, is it about regime change, is it about oil?" then just outright answering that with it being about oil.

BBC too is starting to get into the questions. UK media is not wholeheartedly supporting this. They're less supportive of this than they were of Israel in the 3 months after October 7th until they finally gave up and accepted they'd lost control of the narrative.

This podcast seems to have pretty good analysis. In this episode from last week they talk about the EU, Ukraine, and Venezuela. An interesting take is that the current dynamics aren't really all that similar to the fall of the Roman Empire, but to the fall of the Roman Republic and advent of explicit, unapologetic imperialism.

Chinese Fighter Jet Exports Set To Grow Significantly

Pentagon report highlights how the trifecta of FC-31, J-10C, and JF-17 is helping China establish itself as an increasingly major player on the fighter market.

more

China’s military aerospace sector is clearly in a period of rapid growth and innovation right now. As it continues to roll out new combat aircraft designs, crewed and uncrewed, for domestic use, it’s also lining up new exports of at least three of its in-production fighters. That’s one finding from the unclassified version of an annual Pentagon report to Congress on China’s military, released yesterday. The latest Pentagon assessment of the military and security developments involving China doesn’t include much in the way of new information on the individual aircraft programs for the People’s Liberation Army (PLA). The report does mention the debut in the last 12 months of “two stealth aircraft with novel tailless design features,” the aircraft that are now known informally as the J-36 and the J-XDS. Other debuts highlighted include the land-based J-35A fifth-generation combat aircraft and the J-15D carrier-borne electronic warfare aircraft. Also of note is the statement that the new airborne early warning and control aircraft based on the Y-20B transport is “meant to identify and track advanced stealth aircraft.”

Perhaps the most significant military aerospace development is the assertion in the report that China aims to produce six aircraft carriers by 2035, which would provide a total of nine (China’s third, the Fujian, began its inaugural sea trials in May). Recent imagery indicates that China is progressing with work on a new aircraft carrier, its fourth, which is expected to introduce nuclear propulsion. There are increasing reports that Beijing may also still be working on at least one more conventionally powered carrier, too. If these plans are accurate, then the gap between China’s fleet of carriers and the U.S. Navy’s 11 active nuclear-powered supercarriers is growing smaller at an even faster pace.

When it comes to China’s fighters for export, the report identifies the fifth-generation Shenyang FC-31 (export variant of the J-35), the fourth-generation Chengdu J-10C, and the JF-17, which it defines, somewhat puzzlingly, as a light combat aircraft. The last of these, also named Thunder, is a China-Pakistan coproduction, not used by the PLA. In terms of orders already achieved, the Pentagon states that, as of May 2025, the FC-31 has no sales. However, it does say that there are “interested clients,” which include Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The first prototype FC-31 took to the air in 2012 and was followed, in 2016, by a significantly reworked and greatly refined version, which we discussed in detail at the time. More recently, developmental focus has been on the J-35 version for carrier-based service with the PLA Navy. Alongside this, Shenyang has also developed the J-35A, a land-based stealth fighter that has been under development for some time and which publicly emerged late last year. The long-term PLA Air Force plans for the J-35A remain unclear, but the carrier-capable J-35 may well now be in operational PLA Navy service. Since the base design was developed primarily for export, foreign sales are almost certainly still being sought. Somewhat surprising is the fact that the Pentagon doesn’t link Pakistan with a potential FC-31 order. After all, there had been a previous announcement of official Pakistani plans to acquire a land-based version of the jet.

As for Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, all these nations are known to be looking for new fighters. Egypt was once destined to receive 24 Su-35s from Russia, before the threat of U.S. sanctions and a teased offer of F-15s put an end to that sale. In particular, Washington had said it would put sanctions on Cairo under the Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act (CAATSA). In the event, it appears those same Su-35s, or at least some of them, ended up in Algeria. In Saudi Arabia, meanwhile, the FC-31 would join a relatively packed list of competitors for that country’s next batch of fighters. Saudi Arabia was long expected to buy more Eurofighter Typhoons, in a deal that would be brokered by BAE Systems of the United Kingdom. With that potential deal held up by concerns over Saudi human rights abuses, Saudi Arabia entered talks to buy 54 Dassault Rafale fighters, as we reported back in 2023. More recently, Boeing confirmed that it was offering the F-15EX Eagle II to Saudi Arabia, while last month it was reported that the Trump administration was weighing up the sale of up to 48 Lockheed Martin F-35As to the kingdom. Selling the stealth jet to Saudi Arabia would be a significant policy shift, with Washington previously being unwilling to export F-35s to Arab states in the region, for fear of upsetting the strategic balance in relation to Israel. The same applies to the United Arab Emirates, where, like in Saudi Arabia, Beijing seems to be offering its stealthy FC-31 as a direct alternative to the F-35. An arms package for the United Arab Emirates, approved at the end of the previous Trump administration and valued at up to $23.37 billion, included 50 F-35As, among other weapons. In 2021, the Emirati government reportedly said it wanted to scrap the plan, due to concerns over stringent safeguards to protect these systems — somewhat ironically — against Chinese espionage.

For the J-10C, the report notes that the only exports of this type are the 20 units delivered to Pakistan. These are part of two previous orders from Islamabad totaling 36 aircraft since 2020. It’s unclear when the remaining jets are set to be delivered to the Pakistan Air Force. Since entering Pakistani service, the J-10C saw its combat debut in this year’s clashes between India and Pakistan. Many observers pointed to the potentially significant impact made by the jets, especially in conjunction with their much-vaunted PL-15 air-to-air missiles — the latter of which you can read about in depth here. Regardless, China went into overdrive to publicize the claimed success of the J-10C and its Chinese-made missiles in Pakistan Air Force hands. Meanwhile, Egypt, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Iran, and Bangladesh are all said to have expressed interest in the J-10C. Aside from the aforementioned Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, and Bangladesh are all known to be looking for new fighter equipment. Indonesia signed a contract for the 42 Rafales, which it followed up by announcing plans to buy up to 24 F-15EX fighters, specifically a derivative known as the F-15IND, as you can read more about here. The prospects of a J-10C sale in Iran may be somewhat better. Iran’s geriatric air force has been particularly hobbled by historic arms embargoes and the country’s increasing pariah status in the global community. In the past, Iran has been linked with a potential transfer of Su-35s, which so far hasn’t materialized, while the country’s fighter force almost certainly suffered heavy attrition in the conflict with Israel earlier this year. As for Bangladesh, this country may also now be out of the market for a new fighter. Earlier this month, it was reported that it had signed a letter of intent with Italy’s Leonardo to buy an undisclosed number of Typhoons.

Turning to the JF-17, which is the lowest-end and cheapest offering of the three fighters, has also done the best in terms of exports. As of May 2024, the Pentagon records JF-17 sales to Azerbaijan, Burma, and Nigeria, as well as Pakistan. The report also says that, as of 2024, negotiations were underway regarding a possible JF-17 transfer to Iraq. Iraq is an intriguing candidate customer. Although it has been a keen customer of Chinese arms for many years, the country’s fighter needs would appear to be well met by its Lockheed Martin F-16s — provided they are still operational. Back in 2023, the Pentagon reported that the F-16IQ had become Iraq’s most reliable platform for carrying out airstrikes against ISIS terrorists, at least in part due to a shortage of spare parts for Iraq’s Russian-made attack helicopters as a result of the war in Ukraine. U.S. and Iraqi authorities were said to be looking into the possibility of modernizing the F-16IQ’s notoriously limited air-to-air capabilities. It’s unclear why Iraq might have started to look at buying JF-17s. One possibility is simply to increase the size of its fighter fleet and do it more cheaply, but it’s also possible that Iraq’s F-16s may be suffering from some of the same kinds of problems they did in the past. Indeed, as of 2020, it was announced that the withdrawal of maintenance teams from Iraq meant that its F-16 fleet was at risk of effectively ceasing to exist.

I forgot to mention but last month, on the same day Arce stopped being president, he got expelled from MAS by, I'm not kidding, the same guy he put to replace Evo as the President of MAS. They said something about him stealing funds, but seems like bullshit, he lost all political power and is now in jail because of that. I wonder if Evo is going to try and take back MAS now that all his rivals are basically in jail or too irrelevant to do something.
