There was a point around 7th grade where suddenly all the boys knew the make an model of all cars and had opinions on them. Like there was a class I missed or something
There was a point in high school when I realized I missed that phase, and tried really hard to make cars my special interest for a month to learn the makes and models.
I couldn't do it. It just didn't work. I don't know what it is, but some of us aren't "car people". Like I learned a little bit, but there is no chance that I could look at a car on the street and say "oh that's a ____" unless it's something I've personally owned before
Among the common hobbies of boys in highschool, I remember amateur car consumerism to be one of the most interesting combinations of boring and expensive.
Scholastic book fair and its consequences
How does that become a consequemce of it?
I don't understand the connection
We had card games with photos of cars on them. The flip sides had the numbers: horse power, top speed etc. If you had a card with a better number, you won the card of your opponent. We learned quickly what a "good car" is.
EDIT: I liked De Tomaso the best. Geez, they had some sexy cars.
For me it was Need for Speed games blowing up when I was in high school.
For me there was an insane game introduced around 7th grade. Whenever someone saw a specific brand of car, he can shout the brand name, and hit the other guy on the shoulder (extremely hard).
Violent classmates lol.
We only did this for VW Beetles and it was called Punch Buggy
About 15 years ago I was with a group of lolita cosplayers after meeting a trans DJ at a convention who walked me to where her next venue was, several blocks away in the middle of winter. Trudging lost in the snow in huge platforms and coping with ice cold gusts of wind in a short poofy dress is a lot more palatable when you've chugged through a big gulp of half and half vodka coke mixer and are holding hands, is what I learned.
Me translating make & model into size & color for the very gay squad
After i got in the wrong car a few times I switched to using the last 3 of the license plate
I've just always gone off the plate and the color. I never learned the breeds of cars and at this point I'm too afraid to ask.
I just look for the color
It's your uber, am outside...
sportsball? sportscar.
Well acksually there's no such thing as a Honda Focus, you're likely thinking of a Ford Focus or a Honda Civic type R
Nah I'm p sure it looks like an isuzu commodore hatchback. My brother drives one
For that matter I don't think there's such a thing as a Nissan Honda either, idk tho I'm not a car guy

At 0400 after a night out I'm piston broke
Someone's never seen that episode of Pimp My ride with two the cars welded together
