Yeah except his Vending Machine life is like a cookie clicker game for earning "Vending Points" that he can buy upgrades with lol. It's very silly, I liked it.
my partner's current special interest is isekei but i don't think i can get them into the inanimate object stuff. i do appreciate silly
It's pretty good as like a deconstruction of the genre tropes. You can watch it pretentiously in that respect because in order to make something like this work as well as it does it has to effectively understand how silly the genre is in the first place.

i was mildly disappointed when I realised it wasn't about turkiye.

It's not great, tbh, but it's not awful. It's got heart to it even though it's pretty hamfisted in its execution. It wins points back by having an all-female cast (thus side-stepping a lot of the gross stuff that can come with male power fantasies) and for having such an absurd premise. So I can't say that I'd recommend it, but at the same time, I ended up watching it all the way through when I've definitely dropped "better" shows.
