Listen I'm sure she's very impartial and-

“I know what it’s like to live under censorship,” [Ashooh] said. “My internal check, when I’m arguing for a restrictive policy on the site, is Do I sound like an Arab government? If so, maybe I should scale it back.” On the other hand, she said, “people hide behind the notion that there’s a bright line between ideology and action, but some ideologies are inherently more violent than others.”

Now that we have amassed "300,000" IDF troops on the border of Gaza, we are shutting off the cameras. Have a nice day.

Crazy, cause they didn't seem to mind the endless war porn during the Ukraine / Russia fight.

You crazy leftists, just because someone who worked at a CIA front for years and has literally no social media experience became the head of a social media mod team, that doesn't mean she's a plant or anything

Reddit purging all of those left leaning subs (and inactive right wing ones to appear 'centrist'), allowing a lot of wildly derogatory stuff about Russia after the invasion (and China in general), and now facilitating reddit-logo becoming the IDF's #1 fan is all coincidence

That sub should be shutdown yesterday

But until it is... how is Hamas not military?

Love reddit style activism, just shut down the bad thing done by the bad country. I'm sure not being able to share gore porn from Hamas is going to be the key to isn'treal's victory.

I assume /r/NonCredibleDefense is shooting thick ropes about violence against "human animals" right now.

Surprised the comments were against this until they started saying why

Hamas openly and gleefully shows off what best could be called war crimes and at worst genocide in their videos. By suppressing these videos that is going to give more people a sanitized view of what is going on.

Reason: "not to glorify any terrorist group." This is a slippery slope. Plenty think Israelis are the terrorists. How is anyone supposed to be enlightened to the nature of the actual terrorists, Hamas, when what they are doing is censored? It's almost as if the Admin are Hamas apologists and only want the scenes produced by the Israeli forces to be seen. Great way to bias.

Maintaining the aura of Israeli invincibility is 100% key to that settler colonial project.

    This makes perfect sense.

Ironically the thing that kind of got me questioning the narrative around ukraiane is how there was never a video from the Russian perspective and it seemed hard to believe that it was actually that one sided of a fight that there wasn't some random videos of successful attacks or defenses by Russia.

Then when you start applying that same lens of framing to everything else it was a lot less surprising to me than the libs of reddit that the counter offensive wasn't literally just ukranine skipping into Russia while handing out flowers.

I loooove one of the comment is like "I've seen footage of Russians collecting their intestines on here, but Palestinian footage is too much". Which has so much wrong with it.

I saw one video of a kid pulled out of the rubble of a Syrian building in Damascus wailing for their parents and I cried and had a nightmare days later. I haven't actively sought out combat footage in years.

Well if you actually watch those yourself you might not do it right, or you might see videos where the dead were IDF. Better to just let people convince each other of what's in them instead.
