One day a nuclear war will break out and humanity will rue the day we developed this technology.

I consider it an inevitable fate.

I am far more confident in a principled socialist nation running a nuclear power plant than capitalist roadsters cutting whatever corners they can for profit…

It’s darkly funny to me that the great Satan can leave such an enormous mountain of corpses in their wake and retain a positive reputation in so much of the world.

It leaves everything seeming a little mad. Sometimes you have to laugh to avoid crying.

Communism is when the economic system is so bad billions must be spent reminding the world not to trust their lying eyes.

Iran electing pro reconciliation leaders is just really funny to me.

You can’t negotiate with someone who wants you dead. Putin and Russia realized this eventually.

Will it ever sink in with Iran?

Looking more and more likely that the West will start striking targets deep inside Russia.

The common refrain that “the west is forcing Ukraine to fight with a hand tied behind its back” is just so bizarre.

If both sides were to fight all out, Ukraine would be destroyed in an hour by a nuclear salvo. Are they just stupid?

The outrage about AI has definitely caught a lot of innocent people and artists up in it which is very bad.

Makes little sense to me to fight AI in a way that hurts real people.

Negligence, I agree 100%. There are charges that fit that.

But the parent is being charged with murder, which would require a lot more specific evil intent in my mind. I’d have to imagine the man was just a fool. It’s hard to imagine any parent truly believing their young teen is a latent mass murderer.

Prison is a fucked up torture camp and this will do absolutely nothing to prevent the next school shooting.

Life in prison for making firearms accessible to a teenager is individualizing a systemic problem to relieve pressure from systemic efforts to actually stop school shootings.

We could also just shoot the entire family. But I really don’t see the need for that kind of retribution.

The new strategy of just charging parents of school shooters with murder is just pathetic.

Can’t stop these tragedies in any effective way. Doing good things is impossible. Sacrifice a few more people on the altar of the justice system and call it a day instead.

Just a truly deranged world we live in where a society that doesn’t spend enough blood sweat and tears on murder implements is “disgusting”.
