RIP Anton Yelchin.
Pretty true to the original
Someone didn't watch a single TOS episode.
I really liked the reboots and wish there were more.
Not that they were perfect by any means. I particularly disliked the second ones ending with Kirk in the radiation. It felt way too lazy writing.
I dressed up in a shitty homemade costume with a friend and went to see the midnight showing. Beginning is pretty cool, Uhura and Spock especially are awesome, and satisfy my headcanon. The villain was meh. I fall asleep because it was late. I wake up, Spock is talking to Spock. I'm like WTF, fall asleep again. 8/10 good film.
I didn't hate Into Darkness, but felt that it should have ended with Khan leaving with his crew in the Dreadnaught. He got his revenge on high command and should have given Kirk a choice between saving his crew and bringing him in. It would have tied well with Crew is Family theme and given us an anti hero for future movies. I swear, that had to have been a dropped plot line at some point. The reference to the Dreadnaught being designed for a small crew set it up for Khan to steal.
Loved the first two, but despite trying to watch number three several times, I have no idea what it's about, am utterly uninterested.
Am I out of the loop? Who is the OP referring to regarding the bad casting?
Casting for Checkov turned out to be a big mistake, for example.
Cumberbatch as Khan was a wacky choice
Pretty sure they mean Simon Pegg as scotty....
I never had a problem with the reboots until I came to the realization that they fucked with the actual timeline too.
Imagine if we got the proper JJ Verse show instead of Discovery...
JJ Abrams, famously good at delivering on a premise.
