I'm not sure if this is what you're talking about, but win11 can control both input and output per application.

I often route my Pandora audio through my stereo while my default/games go through my computer speakers (or sometimes my headphones)

Your personal opinions are not my concern.

And other people will always come up with a reason you need to leave what you have even if it satisfies your need.

There are several individuals whose social posts I want to follow for purely financial reasons. Preferably getting notifications for them.

Is this possible without an account? Like old day RRS feeds?

The two platforms in particular are "X" and "truthsocial" (eeewww)

I've looked around and haven't found anything and I'm not a programmer to create my own solution.

I normally just refill the sprayer and small olive oil bottles on my kitchen counter. I started thinking some of that has been in there a long time.

It hasn't smelled or gone rancid but still...

Bullshit, he's "transferring" his wealth to his own charity for tax reasons...

It's a trick to protect his money for his children.

So I reloaded my 12 yr old laptop dual boot with win10 and Linux.

Win 10 no problems also installed World of Warcraft and copied over the mod folders from my main PC.

Linux- 2 distros failed to install, a third wouldn't create a usb bootable iso. Finally got Bazzite with Gnome to install and started to play around. Used the built "lutris"? to instal battlenet and then installed wow using the defaults. YaY! it seemed to work fine!

But... Trying copy over my mods from a FAT32 usb stick (linux reconginze the stick fine, but gives no indication that its a USB stick?)... COPY/PASTE doesn't work! wth. You have to use "Copy..to" ok learning curve on my part.

Now the real issue, using the defaults it installed WoW in "Os install" folder under games, took me a minute to find no problem. "Destination read only" WTF.... How do I get around this and why would Linux install a game in a read only directory???

I'm thinking about putting Linux on my MSI laptop.

First how does Linux handle 2 video cards. CPU Intel and a discrete Nvidia 970...

Can Linux work the light up keyboard? ( I game in the dark lot.

External monitor hooked to the display port?

Last what would be the best noob friendly distro to use. Haven't played with Linux in 10 years and really don't have time to tinker now

And that's absolutely true! Until the one time it's not, and then it's your fault for not knowing.

TBF, I normally go by "off limits unless they make an obvious move".

Which the cashier definitely did. Of course, like the OP I wouldn't realize it till later...

Sheriff is an elected position in the US no experience required.

Bonus answer, president of the United States, we've elected two mentally deficient celebrities so far...

Is there anyway to "upscale" old 640-480 games?

Right now you either get a tiny box you can't see or a pixelated mess.

Not a command perse, but my dog has learned that "hey Google, what's the temperature outside" usually means a walk is coming and gets excited.

Less trolls, skills, and spammers. And bots.

But it seems to have a higher percentage of zealots. People go crazy and extreme over some weird stuff. You can't have a casual opinion about Linux here for instance.

Writing would be extremely boring without ever using adjectives.

I also find it amusing you find gender has relevance to the story.

Lemmy got a HUGE influx of users from the Reddit fiasco. Of course, there was going to be a pull back.

What is going to determine if Lemmy becomes popular is if it has reached critical mass to start growing organically on its own.

as a recent refuge myself. Some random thoughts.

Things that will help, hobby groups moving here. And other interest groups. Not expecting everyone to code, be a privacy advocate, or a political extremist.

Solving some of the fundamental issues around "federation" and ease of use for the average user that just wants to post about cars, hobby, etc

Actually WANTING more users. There is a non small portion that activity is toxic to new users who came from Reddit just to escape.
