Why do people keep talking about "cost per click" that's what comes up when I search the CPC acronym...

4 different search engines not a single item related to China.

And if China did change from CCP to CPC. My first question would be why? Maybe trying to distance themselves from all the evil shit they did as CCP?

It's interesting you think it's so widespread. Considering absolutely nothing came up regarding China in three separate searches...

The most common answer is " cost per click" by the way.

I always finding amusing every single one of the "US sucks, my country is better" accounts NEVER seems to mention their own country... hmm wonder why that is :)

Off such a sad take. Hint: "better" doesn't mean correct or accurate.

While true, he's easily worth half that in accessible funds/loans.

I can see that but, I'd rather have my brain destroyed by money than poverty. The constant hunt for your next meal or just a roof over your head. The constant anxiety for any kind of security at all.

Yeah I'll take the money path thanks.

I mean almost every single country was established the same way. The only difference is Israel is doing it now in modern times when we should know better.

If you don't want to be judged by extremely toxic takes, don't post them.

That is the same as saying "no disrespect" then immediately saying some extremely disrespectful shit . Sorry you deservedly lost all credibility in my opinion.

I don't know if the original poster posted those takes, but if they did they deserved all the blame. I mean there are literally thousands of hours of unedited video shopping the genocide. To even try to say it didn't happen means you're a troll a shit box.

Yeah while Lemmy has been great for refugees from reddit. Lemmy's decentralized approach makes it very difficult to deal with bad faith actors.

More than a few extremely bad trolls/people that were banned from Reddit for very good reasons have infected Lemmy over the past few years.

I'm all for universal health care. But at the same time being outdoors/hiking/fishing most of my life.

Some of the insanely stupid shit I've seen people do in the middle of fucking no where...

I mean accidents happen, but if you're that idiot that ignored four warnings and got gored trying to pet a bison, part of me thinks you SHOULD have to pay for that helicopter ride

There are several individuals whose social posts I want to follow for purely financial reasons. Preferably getting notifications for them.

Is this possible without an account? Like old day RRS feeds?

The two platforms in particular are "X" and "truthsocial" (eeewww)

I've looked around and haven't found anything and I'm not a programmer to create my own solution.

I normally just refill the sprayer and small olive oil bottles on my kitchen counter. I started thinking some of that has been in there a long time.

It hasn't smelled or gone rancid but still...

So I reloaded my 12 yr old laptop dual boot with win10 and Linux.

Win 10 no problems also installed World of Warcraft and copied over the mod folders from my main PC.

Linux- 2 distros failed to install, a third wouldn't create a usb bootable iso. Finally got Bazzite with Gnome to install and started to play around. Used the built "lutris"? to instal battlenet and then installed wow using the defaults. YaY! it seemed to work fine!

But... Trying copy over my mods from a FAT32 usb stick (linux reconginze the stick fine, but gives no indication that its a USB stick?)... COPY/PASTE doesn't work! wth. You have to use "Copy..to" ok learning curve on my part.

Now the real issue, using the defaults it installed WoW in "Os install" folder under games, took me a minute to find no problem. "Destination read only" WTF.... How do I get around this and why would Linux install a game in a read only directory???

I'm thinking about putting Linux on my MSI laptop.

First how does Linux handle 2 video cards. CPU Intel and a discrete Nvidia 970...

Can Linux work the light up keyboard? ( I game in the dark lot.

External monitor hooked to the display port?

Last what would be the best noob friendly distro to use. Haven't played with Linux in 10 years and really don't have time to tinker now

Is there anyway to "upscale" old 640-480 games?

Right now you either get a tiny box you can't see or a pixelated mess.
