China attacking Taiwan would fuck up the electronic industry for a good long time.
They’ll do it once their own electronics fabs have caught up to an acceptable degree. Right now they are dumping tons of money into this so it’s really a matter of time. In the meantime, they are stockpiling more and more weaponry at a pace nobody else can compete with.
That is one of the purposes of this. Even if they completely destroyed all the fabs and couldn't repurpose them, it hamstrings the US
Fairly certain the fabs will be destroyed as a priority as soon as it looks like things aren't going the way the west want.
China plans to make quick work out of it to add profit to their capitalist country.
