Chana masala is great. If you're looking for another meatless dish in roughly the same vein I'd recommend an Ethiopian misir wat. Uses lentils for the protein.

oooh nice, I have a similar kinda recipe but I usually put in some spinach leaves at the very end for some color and variety.

You should consider adding some fresh spinach at the end to add some nice green things, and you can also add a bit of cornflour soup to make it thicker and less runny.
(Add like a tablespoon of cornflour to a separate small bowl, mix it with just enough water for it to become runny, then tip that in to the main food. (Don't add cornflour to the main saucepan, you'll regret it.))
