Probably “bring guns and be assholes”.

Pretty much the only response they’re capable of.

They’re going to wear “Yes Kings” t-shirts.

[-] [email protected] 119 points 17 hours ago

They are scared of us. We need to just keep building momentum.

[-] [email protected] 27 points 15 hours ago

History shows that the public will side against the group they perceive to be the most violent. So let's let them get that fame before we start firing back

[-] [email protected] 5 points 8 hours ago

Not disagreeing necessarily, but it feels really bad to voluntarily sacrifice human lives so that we can build good will with the public.

It's a matter of perspective and who would die if such and such happened vs this other thing.

As the old saying goes, the ends justify the means, right?

In chess the pawns get sacrificed. That's how all armed conflict goes, man.

[-] [email protected] 3 points 3 hours ago* (last edited 3 hours ago)

nuh uh if you open the position without proper development you're just gonna mess up your pawn structure and leave yourself vulnerable to rook attacks on the open files

[-] [email protected] 1 points 1 hour ago

It's just a saying, not actual strategy my guy.

"Commit terrorism!" LOL memes are great these days! /s

[-] [email protected] 3 points 8 hours ago

The meaning of terrorism is someone who uses terror to get their political agenda across, no?

[-] [email protected] 57 points 17 hours ago

Just notice that when these Trumper nazis with guns were actually confronted by those who fought back, they ran.

[-] [email protected] 35 points 16 hours ago

My title would be proud boys get stiffys while posting violence fetish fantasies online from their parents basements.

Can anyone think of a case where opening fire on unarmed citizens actually caused unrest to die down? Because I can't think of a single case. Even in Russia, the Russian Revolution of 1905 was sparked off by firing on civilians.

In every case I can think of it made things worse for whoever was in charge. Aren't there any counterexamples?

Weren't there a couple of unrests in proxy states it the Soviet Union that were ended with violence?

[-] [email protected] 2 points 4 hours ago

Are we though? Don't drop any details if you're aware of actual community defense preparations at the No Kings protests...but the organizers of these protests are libbed up as hell. ~~No way they're working with any armed community defense groups.~~ It looks like the Salt Lake City protest organizers actually did work with a volunteer peacekeeping group, and the fatality was a bystander killed by a bullet meant to stop the gunman.

[-] [email protected] 41 points 17 hours ago

Peace keepers at slc got the dude with the rifle.

They were put there by protest organizers, so yes they are

They were working with the armed defense group that stopped a mass shooting in Utah and the 50501 spokesperson said the designated armed defense groups were a regular part of the protests.

[-] [email protected] 13 points 17 hours ago

I can't speak for every group, but from reading about the incident at the Salt Lake City protest it was an armed guard that shot the would-be shooter and unfortunately killed the bystander

RIP to Mr. Ah Loo. This shouldn't have fucking happened, and hopefully there will be accountability for this. Beyond that, I'm going to hold off on commenting until more details come out.

This article is from Friday. It doesn't make it entirely irrelevant, but keep it in mind and take the fear element of it with a grain of salt. Proud Boys are all talk.

[-] [email protected] 29 points 17 hours ago

I mean to be honest, they’re not Proud Men.

[-] [email protected] 7 points 16 hours ago

That's a good one, gonna use that.

Over the weekend at least one car drove through a No Kings protest (in NC I think), at least one person was killed in a shooting at a protest (in UT), two Democratic politicians were shot in MN (one killed). This is more than just talk.

[-] [email protected] 5 points 9 hours ago* (last edited 9 hours ago)

To be fair, the person shot & killed at the march was an accident trying to stop a shooter, and the kid who drove the car hurt at most one person who didn't need emergency services. The one with a real agenda was the killer dressed as a cop who had delusions of killing 50+ without realizing he'd be hunted down and caught after the first.

Yes, they're getting violent, and yes, they have plans, but don't give them any more credit than they deserve and scare people. Don't over- or underestimate your enemy.

[-] [email protected] 9 points 16 hours ago

This sounds like trump’s talking points. He’s feeding his crime family their thoughts.
