Back home. Sox is being saucy today. She better get over herself or that food will be for naught!
Speaking of food, I felt briefly tempted to have a pizza per today's thread emoji but I think I'll leave that for the end of next week when I really will need a pick-me-up after my presentation for which I have yet to make the requisite graphics let alone slides but I tend to do presentations best at the very last minute anyway.
What is Sox doing?

Going to watch a movie to reset after waking up late and getting nothing done today.
Here's an interesting little read.
Her evidence has been interesting to follow along with. It's basically been "everyone is lying about everything except me". Like she's said that doctors, nurses, child protection services, her ex husband, Ian, her own children all have different version to what she has, but she isn't lying. She disconnected one of the SIMS while the police were in her house! It's going to be really interesting what happens with closing statements.
Of course, following along with blogs is very different to being in the actual courtroom and none of us viewing from the outside really have all of the facts, so it could still be a woman who freaked out over an accident.
It's such an interesting story. Can't wait for the book when everything will be revealed that wasn't allowed in court.
I keep picturing my ideal life - but it’s still being a cat person 🤔
I’d like to end up somewhere more peaceful and make things all nice inside, and if I can’t have Melbcat forever (if only) I’d like more cats or the stability/reliable health to foster.
Maybe when I’m up to it there’ll be a local craft group to grind out basic items for charity and maybe the area will be safe enough to wear my preferred style. On low energy days there will be a lot of video games. Maybe there’s a little space to garden in pots. If we’re getting fancy there could be a garage or shed for painting and the energy to do it.
Unfortunately Melbourne kind of sucks but this is what I would ideally end up with. I hate dealing with dysfunctional people and have no interest in bullshit drama.

I'm guessing they'd already paid for it and no one is paying enough attention to authorise the pulling of the ads.

Jammed/sprained my finger yesterday.
Iced it for a bit and definitely less pain today but still a bit swollen and lacking full mobility.
Thankfully it's the ring finger on my left hand.

I’m so annoyed that Cetaphil is the one available from supermarkets. I’d happily use sorbolene (and used to) but that also burns my skin.
Straight up using unscented body lotion on my face just so it doesn’t get uncomfortably dry, don’t give a crap any more. Vaseline for lips.
I’m using a dermeze cream that I can only find through Priceline.
Been looking for a cream that is oily enough to be nice and long lasting but not to the point of the ointment from dermeze
Yeah it’s weird. The Cerave lotion is very hydrating but thin and doesn’t last, the tube is kind of a dry thick barrier cream that isn’t really emollient. I’ve been avoiding the tub because of niacinimide but now I see there’s a tub without that - so I may try it and keep you posted.
If body lotion is acceptable for face I’ve been using Vaseline Dry Skin Rescue lotion which has the Eczema Association logo. It isn’t highly hydrating and can sting if your face is irritated from the shower but it’s nicely moisturising without being a thick ointment
Aveeno has some long lasting ones that don't have the greasy factor that dermeze has.
I’ll keep an eye out. Buying all these creams are expensive :(
Woolies and Coles have them half price periodically.

My productivity at work today wasn’t particularly high given I was wearing a coat, had a scarf and beanie on till midday.
Time to think about dinner and get warm now.
I think I might waste some time in No Man’s sky.
