Soooo... This all happened very last minute because her owner is a bit of an unreliable/unpredictable sort but WE HAVE A SPECIAL GUEST IN DA HOUZ (for two to maybe three weeks)

e: tagging @Bottom_racer as very important information to be informed about

Hi beautiful! You'll be okay 🩷

She's randomly hissed and panted at me out of nowhere twice but seems to be mostly just investigating and figuring shit out, definitely not combative, just on guard. The first night is harder now that her owner and I aren't in the same building and she can't visualise my place as an extension of her old home. It's her first time in this apartment too. But she'll settle down soon enough I think. As long as she keeps to gnawing cardboard and not my houseplants.

Hope none of yas have gotten caught up in that Norflands lockdown going on atm... E: which seemed to have been relatively short-lived. ~~Maybe 20 minutes.~~ I was wrong, closer to an hour, but took a bit of time to hit the news?

All these people running around with sharp objects. Did their parents miss teaching them the don't-run-with-scissors lesson, or did it not sink in properly? I get nervous walking while holding anything vaguely pointy, running while holding a machete is definitely not happening.

[-] [email protected] 4 points 6 days ago

You'll have to get a safety machete till you get your machete license.

Planning an interstate trip to see my best mates! Super excited.

Long story but these dudes are like my ACTUAL family. I've known them over 15 years.

Fuuuuuuuuuuck! So excited!!!!!

The converse box isn't quite big enough sadly

Hey listen, when we ladies get a little bit older we may not be able to fit into things we previously could. We know. No need to shame.

[-] [email protected] 5 points 6 days ago

She’s trying so hard!

I've been feeding Ted downstairs for the previous 3 nights.

This is Bill waiting at the stairs.

"I have had upstairs dinner but what about downstairs dinner?"

[-] [email protected] 5 points 6 days ago

Ted's mane is truly something to behold.

[-] [email protected] 3 points 6 days ago

[-] [email protected] 3 points 6 days ago

Damaging and destructive winds are coming through tomorrow arvo. It's already getting a bit windy. Batten down your hatches.

[-] [email protected] 8 points 6 days ago

these seagulls made me lol

each one is standing on a rock, many of the rocks are underwater making it look like the seagulls are standing on water

[-] [email protected] 5 points 6 days ago

I wonder what would happen if a second seagull tried to stand on an already occupied rock. Would it by like when a person stands too close in your personal space and you back up and end up being walked across the room? I'm envisaging an ongoing chain reaction of seagulls moving from rock to rock to rock.

[-] [email protected] 3 points 6 days ago

I have no idea but I have been wondering why seagulls are so cranky all the time.

[-] [email protected] 3 points 6 days ago
[-] [email protected] 2 points 6 days ago

nearly every seagull is on a rock ...lol

BummerI’m feeling really out of sorts and just wanting to isolate myself. I don’t want to reach out to my friends.

Living in this shithole is stifling. The people around me are bad news, anything I want to do is pointless or off limits and I don’t even feel comfortable going for a walk.

I have no idea how I used to be an adventurous social person

Bought a pack of colesworth iced donuts. Ate one with lunch and just now ate one after dinner. Should I have a third? Umm yes i will.

Tommy Emmanuel is extraordinary. He also played the best cover of Wonderwall I've ever heard.

[-] [email protected] 2 points 5 days ago

Dude... I'm here now, night 2! He's an insane guitar god!

[-] [email protected] 1 points 5 days ago

There's playing the guitar and then there's playing the guitar so no part of the instrument goes to waste.

The drumming he does is also insane. And the lighting... wow.

One of the best performances I have seen in this lifetime.

[-] [email protected] 2 points 5 days ago

100% agree. I've seen performances and interviews where he's played a bit, but holy shit goddamn he is just truly amazing. I tried just to keep a tapping rhythm going for one song and I couldn't even manage that for Christ's sake....

[-] [email protected] 2 points 5 days ago

I tried tapping along and then gave up too! I then tried to follow the way he was tapping his foot and then gave up again.

Does anyone know if there's anything to do around Craigieburn station? There's a bus near my place that goes straight to the station, but there's no reason to get off in between.

The boys love a bus ride but I need to fill in at least 20 minutes until the next bus

[-] [email protected] 18 points 1 week ago

Just had a friend and her little cat visit so the cat can suss out the place because I am gonna cat sit her for a month. 😻 And little kitty was very chilled out and at home so I think it's all gonna be ok. Yay! Cat aunt time coming up
