If you're okay with them not being muppets, check out Dorkness Rising. Once they start playing, about 15 minutes in, the action bounces back between the players and the characters. It's old but still works.

Dorkness Rising is their second movie, and it makes a lot of references and throwbacks to the first.

It’d be a great skit, but the gag would get old pretty quick for anything full-length.

Do you're saying we'd only get seven or eight seasons of it ?

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It'd get old by the end of the skit.

I mean that kinda goes for every muppet movie.....I'd still watch it

Maybe the first episode could be shot with the famous actors playing it up for the camera, and the rest of the campaign could be just a podcast with the Muppet voice actors and maybe slideshow illustrations for YouTube/Patreon?

I love the original idea, but there's no way that would be sustainable for the art least hour a week content I feel most podcast subscribers would expect.

there is nothing that cannot be improved by the addition of muppets

I think I'd pass on Muppet Schindler's List.

So kind of like Drunk History but with muppet dialogue instead of slurred speech?

If so, I'm sold.

Isn't there already a muppet like dnd thing where one of the muppets has giant bazongers

[–] [email protected] 54 points 2 days ago

Watch it? Hell, I'd crowdfund it if it wasn't for the fact that Muppets are a Disney property. The House of the Mouse has more than enough cash to make this work.

FWIW, this format would work with a bunch of awkward teens at the game table.

You could also go the other way and re-release "Honor among Thieves" by constantly cutting away to the game table with hilarious die-rolls and the rest. Think: "Of Dice and Men", or "Dorkness Rising".

It’s a yes from me. Hitting the golden button!
