I have started this in the last year, I hadn’t considered it by breaking it down by media consumption/storage/browsing habits etc. I am so sick of feeling alike a sales target, and a tool that can be influenced. I do also like the idea of attacking it by provider. I have recently started to cut Amazon out, gotten rid of my Alexa’s, stopped buying and my fire sticks are going soon.

An area I struggle with is maps and travel. I am iPhone and I like to listen to tunes when I am driving and I rely on maps, for routes and to find local services coffee food etc. sometimes I feel like my own worst enemy in my quests.

I am trying to consume less in my life and also spend a little less, because one of the few voices I have is spending and its better in my bank than a corps. I have been trying to either buy used, or buy better value items, and or avoid plastics etc.

I am stating to notice what can only describe as small barriers, I know its just inconvenience and habit but I am hoping for some suggestions that can help me overcome the hurdle.

As an example I have been trying to buy some new utensils, I would prefer nice ergonomic ones metal and wood. But when I try reviews there is so much sponsored/ click here to buy blogs. Its hard to find decent reviews, when tying to choose and under consume getting the right thing researching is an important step. Even then purchasing decent quality is dominated by big stores amazon/dept stores etc. I was looking at OXO good grips but they are still heavily plastic and they only have decent ranges in amazon or John Lewis. Its not about the utensils, its more the barriers inbetween. I have enjoyed these conveniences that have now trapped me in a way.

Another example when trying to buy used items, it is so hard to do this without marketplace.

Anyone else feeling this?
