Today's game is R.E.P.O. This game has probably become the go to multiplayer game for my group there's no plot to follow so we don't have to worry about everyone attending and most of my friends have a copy. Not to mention the rounds are quick so we can pop in for 1 or 2 and pop out. I chose the main screenshot because of the way we stacked all the stuff. It's a damn nice stacking job if i do say so myself.

The game got a newer update, so along with a bunch of cool new shit there's been some reworks too. The latest has been that you can only hold enemies for so long. I think they also reworked the pathfinding AI a little bit. Before i could block a hallway with a door like above and they would turn from the door i feel like. Now they just go straight through it. I lost a major strategy there, but at least i can still use it to slow enemies down. I've started using it too make makeshift alarms because most enemies will attack the door. The only one i don't think will is the Huntsman. I haven't seen him walk into it though so maybe he doesn't ignore it.

One thing this game needs is just a straight up battle mode. Me and my friends spend too long in the Shop dicking around and killing eachother (which is what we're doing in the screenshot above). The game already has a battle mode for if everyone dies, so the code is mostly there i imagine. Now that i'm thinking about it a few misc. modes wouldn't be such a bad idea. Maybe like a hide and seek one? A grocery store map would be sick too. I've been saying that for a while. Or like a IKEA inspired one.

Our shop fights have turned us also into trappers as we've started setting traps for each other all over the place. My personal favorite is to hide it behind a door to the bathroom because people will walk through the door and detonate it. I'll also set one on the truck and when someone comes out and carelessly jumps over it they'll blow up. I had one friend try and set a trap using a wall of carts and then a wall of mines behind it. It nearly ended up getting me when i tried to set it off to get through. But it ended up back firing and killing another friend instead.

I've also started walking up to friends and handing them a grenade i primed and asking them to "hold this". Most of the time they'll realize it's primed and toss it, but one of my friends i handed a grenade and asked him to hold it and he just kept holding it. His reasoning was that he "didn't think it'd blow up if he kept holding it". It in fact did blow up and killed him.

I agree that some more modes would be nice, but bear in mind the version is still 0.1.2 so there's plenty more to come, it's just not finished yet.

I do like the new map, although I miss opening doors on that one haha

Oh yeah, definitely keeping the version in mind lol. I never actually noticed the doors until you pointed it out. It really doesn't have any doors. The closest thing is the vents i think

Yeah the vents are a fun addition, albeit somewhat slow as you have to crawl through them.

There was one vent that took me through a small alcove with dangerous goop, to another vent that took me to one of those horses. Safe to say we didn't get it down without damaging it considering we were up way high and that thing is heavy af.

Still, fun times

The horse is a pain to move (in a fun way). I was just moving one a few hours ago while playing with friends and it was still a pain with 4 strength upgrades. To make matters worse we had a robe right up our ass and everyone else was dead. I ended up getting it to the extraction point but died to the extractor when i tried to adjust the horse further in after realizing it would get crushed

Hahaha that sounds like classic REPO. I'm really amazed by the simplicity of the game and how long it stays fun, especially for the price

Don't think it's a game for me or my friends but I am very happy for the devs to have this success with their new game. They deserve it considering how good their previous game was even if it wasn't as hyped. Very passionate people.

My nerd herd likes the game, although we quickly have been adding mods to ramp up the difficulty and add some quality of life stuff. For a social game, I like it over Lethal Company because everyone gets to participate and there is no designated AFK role that watches the cameras or activates the teleporters.

The No AFK role part is one of my favorite parts about it. It means a party of 3 isn't broken down into 2, which can be sometimes annoying. I think the closest i've seen is usually one of our players will head back to the truck early and wait if they have a Map Player count so they can watch to see if anybody dies and run out to grab them (or leave if the risk is to high)
