Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

If he's fit, I'm a fucking olympian astronaut...

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 day ago (2 children)

The man doesn't look like he could take a flight of stairs without shitting his pants. I think that the definition of "fully fit" has loosened.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

They never said what he was fully fit for.

Depends?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 19 hours ago

"Fittin' three cheesebugers into his face at the same time."

[–] [email protected] 20 points 1 day ago

They said he's 224 lbs. Lmao.

Why would you doubt it? He is healthy enough to play sports and has a personal medical team.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Golf isn't much of a sport. All you do is stand there and hit a ball.

[–] [email protected] 19 points 1 day ago

It would be at least a bit sporty if he actually walked the course during the play, but while there are pictures of him being carried around in a golf cart, I have not seen any of him walking (reasonable distances, not just from the green to the cart).

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 day ago

By sports do you mean golf?

[–] [email protected] 37 points 1 day ago (2 children)

So you're saying this would be the funniest time for him to have a heart attack?

[–] [email protected] 15 points 1 day ago (1 children)

This is how you turn Death Note into a comedy

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 day ago

It wasn't supposed to be a comedy? Because light is so fucking overly dramatic it becomes a comedy.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 day ago

We need a little laugh right now.

[–] [email protected] 25 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Do y'all think if he kicks the bucket soon they'll throw a neurolink chip in him and just zombie him around for a while until the decomposition becomes noticeable?

[–] [email protected] 24 points 1 day ago

by his appearance, this may have happened months or even years ago.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 day ago

"Weekend at Elon's"

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 day ago

No, because everyone below him is bucking for his seat.

[–] [email protected] 22 points 1 day ago (1 children)

He is the most healthy human being in all of history. No one is healthier or stronger than Donald Trump. He has the body of a 30 year old athlete and the mind of a genius.

[–] [email protected] 19 points 1 day ago (1 children)

.... He has the mind and attitude of someone seventy years younger!

[–] [email protected] 16 points 1 day ago

I think you just insulted all of the worlds 9 year olds.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 day ago

Given the truthfulness record for Trump's docs, doing their version of orangeguy buttkissing, this is good news. Except then we'd have President Vance...

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 day ago

The report has an error. The actual report says 'trump is [what he told us]"

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 day ago (4 children)

The medical report also showed that Trump weighs 224 pounds, 20 pounds lighter than he weighed in 2020.

He was pushing 250 lbs in 2020? Damn

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 day ago

I know someone who’s his height and weight and trump looks like he’s got a good 10-15kg more. I don’t know who’s got their finger under the scale but I don’t believe that weight for an instant.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 day ago

It was a really full diaper in 2020.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

I’m a little shorter than him but I weigh about 100 kilos. I look noticeably skinnier than him. He’s easily pushing 250-300 lbs.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 day ago

He is objectively lighter now. Probably more than 20 pounds. He was probably well over 244 in 2020, though, so it tracks.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 day ago

Trust me bro, he’s the healthiest person in the US by far.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Lmao he’s probably got cancer or some shit

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Don’t tease me with good news.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago

Not for the poor cancer.
