Actually not winterizing coal and natural gas plants when warned in 2011 this could happen and choosing not to because it is expensive combined with Texas being on its own state power grid to avoid regulations that would force them to pay for winteriziation is what is killing people.

How does a wind turbine freeze lmao. Wind farms exist all around the world in climates far colder than fucking Texas in a snowstorm, and the blades just need to be de-iced occasionally so they don't slow down.
