In the NC mountains, besides the Asheville area, it's all Trump voters. Most of the mountains are very rural. There are normal people there but also the most "slack jawed yokel" types I've ever seen.

They are getting what they voted for. It's about time the red states face consequences for their actions
they will be waiting forever.
Weren't they chasing FEMA off with guns and stuff? And after that, didn't they vote to gut FEMA? What did they think was going to happen?
Hold up, that was one guy who threatened FEMA, and the majority of NC did not vote for Trump. It's despicable to imply we deserve this.

No they didn't, he just got the most votes of any candidate. Some votes that weren't for Trump weren't for Harris either. The majority of NC voters did not vote for him. On top of that, look at the demographics of the hardest hit areas. Much of it is left leaning.
We're going to see the results play out regardless, but it's pretty low to act like we deserve it.
