The Trump administration claims gutting federal agencies will save money, but cutting the IRS means the government collects less taxes. “If you’re interested in the deficit and curbing it, why would you cut back on the revenue side?” one expert asks.

The goal of Doge is just to create chaos so people can't follow the money going to trump and musk bank account

It's been proven over and over that fully funding the IRS would be the most cost effective way for the government to raise money. Just the threat of the possibility of an audit will drive big earners to actually pay what they ow.

Well a non-functioning IRS can't collect taxes and thus saves tax money for the common worker (lmao) of course.

I actually paused before hitting submit on my taxes. Like....given the fuckery going on, what are the odds that my tax return would even be noticed?

But.........I'm a good citizen so I did it anyway since I was getting a return.

Yes, that is true. But if the IRS doesn't exist, how are they going to audit me?

I'm not telling anyone to commit tax fraud. But I'm also saying that enforcement might be lacking.

Because it was never about the deficit, you dummies. It's a convenient lie to settle personal grievances and dismantle the regulators that are going after Trump and his crime partners. https://pluralistic.net/2025/01/27/beltway-bandits/#henhouse-foxes

We know that. It’s about getting the rest of America to understand. We just enjoy seeing what we know written in articles.

These are also good to share on facbook.. if you still have one of those.

It's also a way to remove all the ethical civil servants that would not go along with martial law and all else that facilitates the coup.

They don't want whistleblowers or witnesses.

They don't want criminal lawyers. They want criminal lawyers.

everything doge is doing will result in higher cost for the government and bringing in less money.

They're using the 1984 naming convention for government departments.

The point of the Ministry of Efficiency is not about saving any money.

That's the point!
