Most people in capitalist countries never leave the economic bracket they were born into. Capitalism is a primitive system of elites and peasants, filled with squalor and death.
I guess it really is all survival bias. People don't really get more conservative as they get older. People with more radical politics are more likely to die young.
Radical Politics tend to grow out of deprivation or some other kind of material lack, and unfortunately lacking materially also means you probably don't get to live all that long.
Capitalism gets credit for every person lifted out of poverty. Communism gets credit for every person to ever die.

In capitalist history books this will be referred to as a result-oriented approach 
capitalism is the best system for forcing everyone into poverty, and slowly selling them back their standard of living at a 100% markup. it practically sells itself!
