lol, there are so few trans people, most others will never meet one in their entire life

Bruh, they're acting like trans people are like 40% of the population. This "culture war" BS is a distraction from the class war, the actual conflict.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 17 hours ago

Yeah but the culture war is what gets Republicans votes. So long as people want to oppress other people, they are going to win with anti-trans, racist, etc. legislation.

Last time it was the migrant caravan and all the terrible people streaming across the border, still some of that this round but they’ve been setting up trans folk as the boogeyman de jour for a while

The class war has been waging since the country was founded. A bunch of rich white land owners got pissy they had to pay taxes, so they revolted.

It's always been a class war since the very beginning.

For context, by this time last year there were 80 anti-trans bills filed. The total of anti-trans bills filed for all of 2024 was 669. In 2023 the total anti trans bills filed was 615 and in 2022 the total was 174.

Think about where this is heading and do anything in your power to stop it now before it's too late.

Welcome to the Ununited States of Hate

I’ve figured it out. They need to ban trans people so they stop being so tempting. Just give in to your deep down desires! Be happy

[–] [email protected] 3 points 16 hours ago* (last edited 16 hours ago) (2 children)

No, they need to ban it because deep down they are afraid they are trans and if they can somehow ban it then they can keep pushing those feelings down and ignore it.

Well, actually, it's probably both.

If we're being real here the reason is because they lost the war on gay acceptance and needed a new target to direct their hate towards.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

I mean, I’m not so many words that’s what I said, but mine is encouraging them to embrace it.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

I read your comment as they want to hook up with trans people and I was adding that some (most?) are trans themselves and repressing it. I think it's probably important to recognize both of those potential aspects of where trans hate can come from.

I just want everyone to give head in peace.
