V became a cop in the first episode of the second season. Couldn't keep the interest after that and stopped watching.

Season two gets much cooler

spoilerJinx becomes Lenin, Vi gets disillusioned after being a pig for too long, goes through a punk phase and joins Jinx

Ok, sounds like it has a redemption act. I think it can have a second opportunity.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Thanks for the warning, I'm definitely not watching it now

Becomes cop, immediately starts using chemical weapons indescriminantly around civilians.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Fwiw, this is portrayed as at least somewhat bad.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 3 months ago

spoilerIts glossed over by the next episode and the mural is the last time its even brought up

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 months ago

Don’t worry she gets her redemption arc

[–] [email protected] 13 points 3 months ago (1 children)

She canonically is. Thats why they had to BS rush her into it since they had get everything wraped up.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Never played the game? She's a cop in the game?

[–] [email protected] 10 points 3 months ago

Yes thats her whole thing. Cop from the slums

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 months ago

I think she may have been a bounty hunter early in the lore but they retconned stuff at random, none of it mattered and most of it was hidden outside of game

My mind whenever Imagine Dragons comes on.

"All of Gen Z really gonna hate on me"

"Spare the sympathy"

I know I'm old because I cant figure out why Imagine Dragons is the youth's Nickelback

[–] [email protected] 23 points 3 months ago

They had a pretty good start and then realized songs for car commercials are where the money is

[–] [email protected] 14 points 3 months ago

battle scene that suddenly turned into an Imagine Dragons music video.

Mirror Mirror universe evil version of a DBZ AMV

Definetely the most jarring parts of the show, they tone it down in season 2, and it's worth enduring

[–] [email protected] 17 points 3 months ago (2 children)

they tone it down in season 2

What? I think it's WORSE in season 2.

Idk I haven't seen one in a minute, maybe my Imagine Dragons tolerance is lower now.

Yes in the first seasons its only on “big” events the second season makes it a constant thing, 15 minutes of fighting per episode with vocal music. They also use to skip over huge junks of the story.

15 minutes of fighting per episode with vocal music.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Lol basically this, I swear they used to be a bit more subtle.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Could be an extension of producerbrain "Second screen" ideas where you need your media to be able to hold or relate the attention of someone that's doing something else. Bigger, louder, simpler, repetitive

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

I've heard of this. It's like an actual mandate by streaming company producers like Netflix now. Not sure if it's the exact situation in this case, but still, it:s crazy to me that they're encouraging the production of media that's actually not meant to be watched. I swear, existing in capitalism is like living in the cuckoo logic of Wonderland sometimes.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago (1 children)

No it's just that i didn't think those music moments were imagine dragons, mb

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago

Fair enough, but it's the same style of pop rock

[–] [email protected] 13 points 3 months ago

It gets worse in season 2. At least season 1 made the music videos take place to exalt a situation and signify the emotional state of its characters.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago

imagine dragons was mid

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 months ago

you cannot tell me that this show people have been praising to high heavens has even a single actual imagine dragons song in it.

like what are we even doing people
