Some tweets from piratenation and asmon about the bald protag in intergalatic got, lets say 20k-40k likes on Twitter. Which is a lot for the platform. Lets say that it was 50K though, lets ignore how many of those are bots Let's ignore how many of those wouldn't be interested in the game anyway Let's ignore how many might follow them without even being gamers really but just bc they are part of the culture war BS let's ignore that even on twitter they got ratioed by a tweet that got 300K likes

You hate Naughty Dog because "woke". I hate Naughty Dog because their director is a huge Zionist. We are not the same

I was half joking with this but apparently yesterday he said

The story is quite ambitious as it centers on a fictitious religion and what happens when you put your faith in different institutions.

Can't wait to hear about the evil Palestaliens and the righteous Interstellar Defense Force

Never take anything a chud says seriously unless it's a threat, then take it only as seriously as you need to take it to shut the threat down completely.

Yeah, internet nazis spend an inordinate amount of time complaining online and then the shitlib mods these companies barely pay to censor the left way more, tilting the field. I also think leftists who are less fascistically libidinal and more self-conscious avoid getting into seemingly useless internet arguments in general.

Mostly, these guys harass people. And it sucks.

Most bigbudget AAA games need to sell literally millions to break even, FF16 failed to meet expectations after selling millions and Spider-man 2 needed to sell 8M to break even.

even if we double and triple the numbers of chuds that are actually lost customers, its such a small fraction of the market, and lets not forget if the game comes out and is good, how many people will actually boycott a game and not just come up with somehing dumb like "its woke but done well" like they do with literally so many other games? there's very few people who actually will, on prinpcle not buy game bc a female lead is bald for example

Typically, if a game does well they’ll find a rationale for why it’s anti-woke and vice versa if it does poorly. There’s no consistency, it’s all about keeping the outrage slop factory humming.

My go-to is just flipping the script on them.

I accuse them of wanting to gentrify gaming (and in a weird sense, I’m not wrong.) and they’re the tourists that are ruining games for the sake of their agenda.

If I need something particularly devastating, I accuse them of being Just like Jack Thompson, some whiny right-wing soccer mom that wants to take away games.

That's all just straightforwardly true

Honestly it’s fun just taking right-wing language and redirecting it. Like literally one of my favorite things to do is just say “stunning and brave” any time a reactionary gloats about how he’s sooooo bad for essentially conforming to popular opinion.

Just call them “the real SJWs” if they’re the first to bring up identity.

The old classic

I honestly hate seeing posts about chuds whining about games. It's why I stopped reading r/gamingcirclejerk years ago because that was most of the content there.

always remember. And that was for a good thing that mattered, dedicated servers.

I wish they'd all be shot so I didn't have to hear their brainrot anymore.

lets say 20k-40k likes on Twitter. Which is a lot for the platform.

it's actually not and costs like maybe $5 to bot that number of likes which is why, back when the dunk tank still existed, I was its #1 hater for just random twitter posts.

anyways gamer on gamer violence is always supported by me. if someone wants to cry about 'bald girl' or something stupid like that, good for them I guess - unloved people have to stay busy too, I'll still play it if it draws my attention!!!

g*mers are the terminally online of the terminally online

before covid I was heavily involved in some irl gaming events and could count how many people cared about culture war shit on one hand.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 6 days ago

Nah you gotta take it seriously, but endlessly reposting this shit certainly isn't the way to do it

Now let's say, hypothetically, for the sake of argument, that they got ratio'd 1:6. Let's say, for the sake of argument, that beanis
