MODERATORS

An Alabama legislator was arrested Tuesday on felony voter fraud charges accusing him of voting in a district where he did not live.

Republican Rep. David Cole of Huntsville was arrested on charges of voting in an unauthorized location, according to Madison County Jail records. The details of the charge were not immediately available in court records, but the arrest comes after accusations that Cole did not live in the district in which he was elected.

Cole, a doctor and Army veteran, was elected to the House of Representatives last year.

It is utterly incredible. Republicans are the ones screaming about voting fraud yet everytime there's evidence of fraud, who's doing it? Republicans.

Maybe they're only so positive there's voter fraud because they're the ones doing it?

It's always projection with the #fascist #GOP.

Always.

not just the usa gop. topics conservatives of the world screams about and point fingers at others, always end up as projections of their own dirty politics, fetishes, dirty minds and own foul mindsets.

It's projection just like my coworker who wears his InfoWars Tshirt to work with a big "Theres a war on your mind" written on the back. He obviously can't put it together that they're blatantly admitting to brainwashing/indoctrination with that slogan. "The left" doesn't have any coordinated brainwashing campaign like.this, so it's pure projection from the right and Alex Jones and my coworker is happy to sign over his hard earned money for the privilege of being indoctrinated to hard right ideals

From my memory the closest thing they've found to a smoking gun of Democrats doing it was that one ex-felon, she had finished her sentence, paid off all of her dues, and was done with parole and she registered to vote, received her paperwork that she needed to vote, went to the voting poll place, showed her ID that showed that she was on the registry to vote, and voted one time not knowing that she wasn't allowed to vote for another couple of years due to a quirk in the state law.

Nobody had told her she couldn't vote, she followed the normal practice and she got in huge trouble over it.

That's it.

That's the extent of democratic voting fraud.

All of the rest of the voting fraud, 99.999% of it, is Republican.

Obviously it was a Republican.

What’s this works coming to? Before you know it some priest will get arrested for inappropriate things with a little boy.

Doesn't Greg Abbott pay good money for proof of voter fraud?

Has there been a single credible allegation of a Democrat voting more than once?

Every single case I've seen reported has been an R.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago

Unfair to compare democratic voters to republicans, democrats aren't in a cult.

I think there was some very niche case some time ago? I don't remember the details and finding info about stuff like that, that isn't conservative propaganda is impossible.

Great, now do Tuberville. Pretty sure he's been living in his house in northwest Florida for almost a decade now.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 year ago

It was really nice of the GOP to pass all these strict voter fraud laws to catch themselves voting illegally.

Without reading the article I’m going to guess Republican. Let me go read it now. BRB.

Edit: Republican Rep. David Cole

Devil's advocate: Why isn't Alabama like my state, where you can vote at any polling location? When you go in to vote they give you a ballot for your district, no matter where you are.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Because they want to make voting difficult and cause people to inadvertently break the law when exercising their right to vote
