Comic is too optimistic because here the fire was extinguished. In reality the fire has only gotten larger and is surrounded by all sorts of volatile elements.

I'm not the one ignoring genocide, buddy. Next time tell the democrats that getting people's votes is more important than sending billions in support of genocide. Sure though, people supporting genocide are totally not fascists just because the other party they love "reaching across the aisle" to support it harder.

Because last I checked, you spent the past few months peddling the exact kind of voter suppression "BOTHSIDES" nonsense and downplaying the very real risk of fascism as a Dem plot to bully people into voting. That's either ignoring genocide, supporting genocide, or being the most self-defeating anti-genocide advocate imaginable.

But it's okay. You got to feel good about yourself, and that's what counts. Fuck minorities. Fuck the oppressed. Only your feelings matter.

If pointing out similarities between the parties is a voter suppression tactic, then democrats should try being different from the republicans instead of kissing dick cheney's ass and screaming that they need to move even further to the right after every election defeat. I'm not the one sending billions in weapons to support the genocide and then telling voters "other guy worse" to justify it. You obviously think the democratic party strategy which so severely lost them the election is a brilliant strategy, so this discussion will obviously go nowhere. Have fun posting your memes about burning houses while defending arsonists (instead of being open to the suggestion of perhaps not doing arson) and feeling morally superior because the other party has more destructive arsonists.

No, instead, you're the one enabling the candidate to support the genocide with billions more and then telling prospective voters "More genocide and less genocide are exactly the same."

My mood improved considerably after republican lawmakers started opposing his appointees, he clearly won't be able to accomplish as much harm as he wants to with a splintered faction.

Tbh my faith in humanity wasn't high enough to ignore the aggregate polls to start with. Can't be disappointed if you have no hopes.

Sucks for climate goals, poor people, and minorities but I'm hoping to ditch the USA soon if I find an opportunity.
