While not perfect I do love the addition of latin american spanish vs spain spanish in shows and stuff. Having to hear spain spanish is 
that being said I do get lost if it's not specifically spanish from mexico. Tried to watch some films from argentina/columbia and I got to really pay attention
Oh yea some accents are kinda hard to follow sometimes, good luck when you want to watch chilean shows

What happened
okay okay okay my last rant, I remember sometime when I was a kid, idk how old I was, but I remember seeing a post talking about the myth of camel spiders in Iraqi and how Americans used it to gain sympathy for their soldiers, and the first thing I thought of was "Iraqis and by extension we aren't humans to these people", they show this hoax of a big ass spider that apparently eats people or something in Iraq and they used it to say "oooh our poor wittle twoops" instead of having sympathy towards the Iraqi people for dealing with them, or idk better yet THE AMERICAN SOLDIERS MURDERING RAPING AND TORTURING THEM.

Small win against the evil dmv, helped my sibling finally pass their driver's license test. Growing up we'd always see our older sister and mom fail it with how much harder it is in spanish so it kind of wore rest of family down but one by one we are starting to pass. I got mine first this year then helped my sister then nephew now sibling and hopefully I'll be able to help my mom next.

I've been mistaken for somoan, sihk when I had a beard and now more and more as indigenous people asking me if I'm from so and so rez. Don't know why most people don't id me as mexican, no one's ever been mean or anything just curious once I tell them my legal name and start speaking spanish they go ah
I'm mixed British and Filipino so I'm kind if ambiguous-looking. I've had people ask if I'm Latino, Inuit, Hawaiin, Japanese, Italian, and black...like everything except Filipino lol

I don't look XYZ and/or sometimes I can pass as white so I don't know if I can post here. Can I?
This place is for ethnic minorities and people of color. This includes those of mixed heritage and those who may be "white" but are of an ethnicity that is a minority in their area (i.e. Kurds, etc) If you've experienced oppression due to your identity that is not based on sexual / gender identification, you are welcome here.
Moreover, for our American audience, we have people from around the world who are "white" but are oppressed due to being a minority in their country. They are and should be welcomed here.
