any time i see one of these memes i just picture him saying “so let me get this gay….” because boomers always start these memes with “so let me get this straight…”

"But China also makes these treats and generates pollution, so you can't criticize this treat. This especially applies to treat printers." smuglord

China using treat printers: Trump/Biden Yi Jian Mei duet, cool and funny

amerikkka using treat printers: inventing a bra to show on a picture of a conference presenter, cringe and creepy

Also China using LLMs: kind, caring AI companions for lonely people, and helpful AI guides

AmeriKKKa with LLMs: Nazi 4chan chatbots and gooner companions

LLMs are tools and tools can be useful.

In Burgerland, the tools are used (and overused to the point of environmental ruin) by tools.

I agree, they are tools. But they're as useful as the material they're trained on... which so far in the west has meant the curated ones spew lib talking pieces, and the fully open ones immediately become Nazis

I was trying to be generous to the fucking things, which can be hard considering what techbros and proselytizers say about them.

No problem, honestly I find it more hilarious than not. By their brainrot, in every space/context/niche, the west is sowing the seeds of its own obsolescence (IMO). Would be better if not, just like it would be better if we all didn't have to live amongst the mess, but at least "evil will not win" or whatever (in contrast to China's ever-increasing triumphs, and the development of other nations of the global south).

I assume there's some restrictions on the damn things in China, or at least a focus on using them meaningfully instead of playing "Mirror Mirror On The Wall" and making janky videos of Emilia Clarke's likeness (against the actress' will, just like in the show's production) DJing le epic dance parties in MurderFuckLand.

The only Funko pops I own were given to me as gifts by people who had no idea what to give and this is the only acceptable reason to have one.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 6 hours ago

Yep

Most of them are plug ugly

The Pikachu one my coworker got me as a secret Santa gift holds sentimental value
