Well I'm keeping an eye on that. Could be intrigued, if the Kickstarter sounds half decent I'll back it. Love discworld. The idea of a game system built around messing with language and making puns sounds great.

They've spent literal decades building puns into the game, among other silliness.
There are even Discworld inspired elements to the game, including monsters and even an entire character role - the Tourist.
Edit: Sorry, didn't catch what community this was, and commented before reading the article (yes, I should know better). I had assumed it was going to be a computer game, rather than tabletop.
I feel like those are not mutually exclusive features.
Sounds a lot like aspects from Fate.
Fate still has numbers, but you could probably hack them off without too much trouble. I don't know if "the troll is fantastic brawler and you're a good swordsman" is especially better, but it's an option
For complete clarity, the Kickstarter will not offer beans, accept beans, or trade beans. This will be a beanless Kickstarter. A bean free experience.
Ah, just when I thought it could be popular on Lemmy
I love RPG and love that Kickstarter exists to make new ones. I do hate the amount of time between the idea and hype and getting a copy. I'll wait to get this in a couple of years when it's finished and I can buy it
