I bet Johnson hates it when Biden supports anything he says. Watching him behind Biden during the last SotU address, Johnson looked displeased with everything that was said, even the things that both sides should have been cheering for.

The national-level Republican party no longer depends on governing. They depend on blocking governance and then complaining that nothing gets done. I'm glad that the Ukraine support is getting pushed towards approval.
Tbh there were things he seemed to very much like but as soon as it showed even a little bit he realized he was on camera and couldn't show it.
Republicans push legislation just so they can scream and cry when dems shoot it down. If the dems are on board they'll vote against their own bills because they don't actually want to govern, they want to scream and cry.
I'm hoping this bill turns out to be solid and it can get moving quick. Ukraine needs it.
I'm wondering what's the catch? Because Johnson is an obvious traitor, who has done everything to prevent help to Ukraine for 8 months now.
Why would he suddenly let a ticket pass with his name on it, instead of letting the one from the Senate either fail or go through?
Until there is clear evidence this bill is actually helpful, I don't trust it one bit.
Both chambers are scheduled to be in recess next week.
So there's that.
Then nobody except Biden says he won't signe one without the other. Which will be the GOPs highway to push the Israeli bill through fast but stalling the Ukrainian one (sending it back and forth to Congress/House on technicalities, not schedule a vote like on the ORIGINAL BILL) and blame Biden for "nOt supPorting IsRael".
A shame there is nothing to prevent this, like some procedure forcing the basic vote on the original bill... /s
Johnson can't put it off any longer. Ukraine will fall if it doesn't happen right damn now. Also he's probably tired of getting kicked in the nuts by ~~the MIC~~ businesses in home state sucking in 2+ Billion dollars of DOD money.
Ukraine will fall if it doesn’t happen right damn now.
But Johnson doesn't give a shit about that, he wants Russia to win!!!
My main worry is that the other bills will be pushed forward while the Ukraine one is held up. I'm failing to see why these would be de-bundled when the Senate bill has been sitting right there for months.
I'm not aware of what shenanigans are possible for him to play, but something like that would not surprise me. I'd rather have the Senate bill get the dozen or so remaining supporters it needs to force a vote.
Biden should signal putting tripwire troops in western Ukraine to provide humanitarian aide. I know he doesn’t want a war, but the republicans have to be made to stand up as the lily-white cowards they are.
This is the best summary I could come up with:
President Biden on Wednesday came out in support of Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-La.)
“The House must pass the package this week and the Senate should quickly follow.
I will sign this into law immediately to send a message to the world: We stand with our friends, and we won’t let Iran or Russia succeed,” Biden said in a statement.
“I strongly support this package to get critical support to Israel and Ukraine, provide desperately needed humanitarian aid to Palestinians in Gaza, and bolster security and stability in the Indo-Pacific.
Israel is facing unprecedented attacks from Iran, and Ukraine is facing continued bombardment from Russia that has intensified dramatically in the last month,” the president continued.
Johnson’s decision to move forward separate bills for foreign aid is an attempt to allow Republican critics of sending aid abroad to vote “no” without killing all of the U.S. national security priorities.
