Nope, iron (i think). Apparently It's much more sensitive to build-up than the copper pipes.

That's not the point... The water itself is! Where do you think the build-up comes from ?? However, we regularly send samples to a lab to ensure it's healthy, and it is. I'm also a 100% sure the pipes from whichever water company has build-up in it too.
I replaced my water installation some weeks ago. The copper pipes did not show build-up. I cut the pipe at the hydrofor to make it easier getting it up the stairs that was another story. I think it's 45 years of build-up

I usually leave my phone at home when I go out. If I have it with me, everything but the phone ringtone is in silent mode. So unless I get a call I'm not notified on anything. I'll look for message etc whenever I feel like it.
Nothing sucks. Sure, modern life seems to be build around them, but there often is another way. We managed many many decades without them.

The water heater started leaking, the hydrofor started leaking, the pipes had several dead ends, no of it fastened to the walls, and what's not clear in the 1st picture is the complete mess at the pump.
New water heater, new hydropress, pipes mounted to the walls, re-routed electricity. Re-used what I could, but much is new. My pride: I could not get a flens that fitted the pump (yeah, an industrial one of twice the price of a similar jetpump). I found I could remove the flens and fit a coupling I have in a box for over 30 years and survived 3 moves. Removing it was exciting, it had been in place for 40+ years but I managed without damaging the cast irons pump housing.
There is still some 'floating' pipes to fix, but over 95% of the job is done. Man, did that improve the water flow !!!

Gonna be a part of my grill table so I can use cast iron cookware. Gotta smoothen a few bits and have not thought much about how to mount it (probably two iron bars under it)
edit: Thanks for all the remarks. I had some of the concerns myself (but decided a test-drive could confirm/take away those) Now I'm not all that sure if i'm gonna use it or make a different solution. Also due to the weight. It's something like 30Kg. The kamado is another 100Kg plust the table itself ...... it's getting heavy.

The transmitter in Grimeton -over a 100 years old now- transmitted today. They start it up many times a year, but it only transmits like twice a year and then only for a few minutes.
I've been there a number of times when they started it up, even once participated, but now I've finally tested the receiver-kit i assembled.
