I explicitly command my brain to stop thinking. When something pops up again I would go "nope, you ain't doing that".

I would visualize something being cleaned up, like a whiteboard being erased, or turning screens off.

You already said China so I guess I'll go Hong Kong.

Hong Kong (香港) means fragrant harbour. The origin of this name is unknown, but there are theories of it coming from a type of wood we produced, a nice river, the wife of a pirate, or some residents just pronounced it with an accent to the British soldiers.

Fast food isn't really cheaper in HK either. Tipping culture is non-existent here so that doesn't cause a difference.

Interesting. Fried rice is more commonly found in traditional restaurants for us. Not much in fast food.

MSG was so prevalent until people said it was bad. One of our local fast food chain restaurants still has a "No MSG" poster in some of their branches.

I live in Hong Kong and it feels like most American fast food here involves oil and deep fried food. Then I remembered at one point HK local fast food were full of MSGs.

It led me to this question. What is your local fast food obsessed with? It can be an ingredient, spice, sauce, cooking method, etc.

My mom always says warm you neck. Her explanation is that an artery runs through it and you can lose heat quite quickly there.

She was a nurse, so I do trust her.

Danas (丹娜絲) is a typhoon that formed to the east of Hong Kong and is moving northwards. She pretty much pulled away all the clouds so it's very sunny (and hot) here.

Wutip (蝴蝶) formed very close to Hong Kong, within 800km away. She isn't even classified as a "tropical cyclone" because she was not strong enough. She spent most of her lifetime as a "tropical depression".

The Chinese name literally means "butterfly", so that's why she has butterfly wings.

I call this "Typhoon Posting". Basically, I draw tropical cyclones as humans. This is the 1st typhoon this year, and my 3rd typhoon total.

I happened to be writing a program that interacts with the PeerTube livechat plugin on peertube.wtf. It was fine until suddenly a reload returned 404 from the chat room. I checked on the PeerTube instance and surely enough, the live chat was gone from my stream. The chatroom settings was also gone from the side bar.

Is this a temporary issue or an intended action?

Alternatively it's also on Wet-Dry World

This year I participated in making Zong's (粽, sticky rice inside bamboo leaves) and it was quite fun. So here's Summatia holding one she made.

You don't download shell scripts from github for windows. You download batch scripts and exes from random file hosting sites, and they don't even fix your problem.
